Baptist Medical Center Nassau receives highest mark in patient safety from national rating agency

Hospital earns highest “A” grade for quality of care.

Baptist Medical Center Nassau is top of the class for patient safety according to a national organization's latest rating. Baptist Nassau received an "A" Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade for fall 2021, which recognizes the hospital's achievements in providing the highest level of quality and safety.

This is the eighth consecutive time that Baptist Nassau has received an "A" rating from The Leapfrog Group, an independent national nonprofit organization committed to health care quality and safety.

"Quality and safety are ingrained in our culture. This 'A' grade is a testament to the team members at Baptist Nassau who are vigilant in ensuring that every patient receives the highest quality and best care possible," said Ed Hubel, FACHE, hospital president. "We are proud to provide safe, trustworthy care to our community here in Nassau County."

Baptist Medical Center Beaches and Baptist Medical Center South also received "A" ratings from the organization.

The Leapfrog Group, an independent national nonprofit watchdog organization, assigns letter grades A, B, C, D, or F to hospitals across the country based on more than 30 national performance measures and their record of patient safety, which helps consumers protect themselves and their families from errors, injuries, accidents and infections. It is peer-reviewed, fully transparent and free to the public.
