Natasha Hunter, MD, graduated from medical school in Germany in 2008 and completed her family medicine residency in Jacksonville, FL. About Me

After medical school in Germany, my husband and I moved to Jacksonville to be near family. In 2013, I not only completed my residency in family medicine, but my husband and I also welcomed our first child. Motherhood has been both a joy and a challenge. We love to spend time together as a family and love weekends at the beach, boating and biking.

I became a family physician because of the opportunity to build long-lasting relationships with my patients and their families. It is difficult to make decisions about one’s health without a solid base in medicine. My goal is to help my patients navigate the health care system by providing them the most up to date medical information. This way we work as a team so they feel confident in knowing they have made the best possible decisions for themselves and their family. I am especially interested in weight loss, stress reduction and nutrition because these play a strong role in the chronic disease process.

Since 2010, I have volunteered at Volunteers in Medicine, a free health clinic for the working uninsured. I also worked for the St. Vincent’s Mobile Health Unit, providing free health care to adults and children. Helping those who are less fortunate has been very rewarding and I look forward to continuing my volunteer services in my spare time.
