I have been with Baptist for many years and We had Dr.Robert James who later retired. Since we have had two doctors. Our present on which we have had for awhile refered to us as his ORPANS. He is ok but might as well do a tella video. He never leaves his chair and sits at the computer. Even his helper said she has told him he needs to develope better patient skills. We might look outside the building at a later time.

My family have been patients with Baptist for many years. As you all have continued to grow there has been a drastic change in the quality and access to care. To begin, the front line staff (clerical medical support) need to receive formal training in customer service and how to address confidential patient information in public settings. HIPAA is imperative for all staff to honor. Baptist has now become focused on submitting more consults when you all either don't have enough providers, there is a multi month wait time to get scheduled and/or it may not even be medically necessary. Do you know that when patients get a call for the consult submitted by a provider we received multiple automated messages that advises the patient to call a phone number! This is confusing and results in lack of follow through when we can't actually get a call from a human to coordinate the outreach effort and scheduling. The online platform is a mess and I have been informed by medical staff that people are inappropriately using this for communication which are obviously the same people in which you all have directed signs throughout your facilities about prohibitions of verbal abuse and aggression. The platform needs a lot more work before forcing more patients to use it including scrubbing for outdated and inactive problems, 48 hour or less response to a message sent from triaging nurses (the VA does so within one business day), ability to check in online and not have to still present to the front desk, restricting purpose and use of platform to promote civility, etc. How do you ensure medical and mental health teams are being responsive to patient inquiries? In the past I have waited over a week for a staff member to acknowledge and respond to a basic inquiry. Too many signs are now everywhere in your facilities. Can someone regulate what information is permissible and realistic to post? Let's be honest most people these notices apply to are not even reading them as expressed above. Don't lose your primary vision Baptist of helping people please! Before you expand too much in Jacksonville FL be sure you have enough providers and reasonable wait times to be seen for non-emergent and emergent care.

Well I just realized that it had been a little while since I heard from the front desk at my primary care normally they call me especially on a yearly thing like annuals and physicals and stuff like that but I realized I hadn't seen or gone to doctor in a little bit I didn't realize how long it was but it was 2 years and they hadn't called me about any kind of physicals that I had been doing on a yearly basis with him for several years before that then when I called him up they made it out like it was my fault which yes I am supposed to keep up with stuff but when they normally do it for you until a little bit after they stopped doing it you don't know they're not doing it for you no more and now their hours of operation aren't late enough in the afternoon to where I can not take off from work to get there this not too happy with management right now as soon as I talk to him oh it's important you need to get in here for your blood work and you need to get in here for a physical yet they hadn't called me

The staff was very patient and professional with a family oriented touc and the wait time was very minimal. I am a new patient and I felt very welcomed. Dr. Lim was thorough and explained my test results allowing answers to my questions. I forgot my paperwork which was needed for my speciality care with a different office. Dr Lim suggested and allowed me to go home to get them, which is unheard of,. Upon my return with the paperwork I did not have to wait once I returned to the office. But that???s not all once I arrived home from the appointment my speciality doctors office called to inform me that they had received my needed medical form from Dr Lim which they stated has never happened so quickly. From other medical offices. You all should have seen how my chest stuck out like a proud mother receiving a good report from her child???s teacher when ending that call????

Doctors don't really seem interested in whats happening to patient not interested in helping patient achieve their best physical well being .it seems like its all about be nice to the patient but do as little as possible to help them physically .so its lets have a "good bedside manner "and do as little as possible to help them with whatever is wrong which means they will have to have continuous visits which in turn will make them more money .

When I called ans set up my appointment I provided my full name and they scheduled me as my sister. When I got to the appointment they ask for my ID and again they checked me in as my sister like they can't ready my ID or insurance card. They started to update her info to mine because they were not paying attention and they wanted to laugh it off like it's no big deal when infected it is a huge deal. They need to stop and pay attention to what they are doing and listen when someone provided them with there full name. My sister and I have use the same doctors for almost 35 years and it is not just a simple mistake it is absolutely unacceptable. Especially since the last time they screwed up my name and wanted me to sign all the paperwork that had the incorrect info on it. The people at the desk need more or new training. My 2 visits to your facility have been less than satisfactory.

14 days trying to get prescriptions to pharmacy which should have been sent when we saw the doctor on the 13th of June. I had to make an appt (6/27)and will have to pay additional Co pay to get the meds. I would recommend training for your people as they could not read the chart, did not change phone number as requested, they showed no concern for assisting me to solve the problem. Again I wasn't asking for meds and had not seen the doctor, I saw him on the 13th and all meds should have been sent to pharmacy. Myself and wife are long time patients who comes every 3 mths for diabetic control and labs

I've been treated pretty good at baptist. No complaints, I get in and out fairly quick. I Love the fact you have a lab, not like others where I half to make an appointment with Quest out in town. That's an inconvenience having to make another appointment at other locations. Dr Lim is an old Navy Dr. I just seem to get along with military vets better.

I have gout. I have been a patient for 10 years with regular blood tests and check-ups. When I call in to triage service with severe pain due to a gout flare up, I expect a call back within 1 - 2 hours. 5 hours later receive call that I needed a 6 month blood test and consult with doctor before pain meds. This led me to believe that doctor either didn't read chart, or doesn't trust me to know my body. Turns out doctor said it was a miscommunication in the office. Not acceptable!

If there were negative numbers, I'd pick one of them. I came with a disabled veteran. Dr.Lim was the WORST. He was racist. He was sarcastic. He kept rolling his eyes and using air quotes as if the veterans disabilities were not real. He said multiple times this isn't his job and we need to go to the VA. The VA sent us to you. Then he just kept saying well I don't understand. We go to many doctors visits a week and he made my veteran feel dumb and hopeless. He didn't care to check him out or ask questions. He was negligent. He doesn't deserve to be treating anyone. Especially veterans.

The office just seems very unorganized. It takes a long time for the phone to be answered. Sometimes you send in questions through the portal and they are not answered. You have to ask again. Sometimes you have to follow up multiple times to get things you need. I have had to request cologuard several times now! I had to go back twice to get paperwork they told me was ready but then could not find it! The doctors and nurses are fine. But the administrative part of the office is just very frustrating. I know it’s a busy office and perhaps there are staffing issues but everyone is busy! I still work and my time is valuable too. Please don’t make me take hours to accomplish something that should take minutes. Please respect my time too. Thank you.

I always find it difficult to get a timely appointment. I went in with an eat that was sore and bleeding from accidently smashing qtip in my ear. After waiting an extremely long time in the room, the doctor spent about 3 minutes looking at my ear and said I had an abrasion in the ear canal. He prescribed an ointment, but gave me no information about what it does or what I should expect in the coming days or about the pain I was having and my head feeling clogged. I called back a week later in excruciating pain that I have had for over a week, and I was told they would call me back, but 3 house later I have not received a call.

Poor communication with my doctor; I ran out of my blood pressure medication I call left messages no response, the pharmacy requested refills still no refill, I had to go down to the office to get him to call it in, the next day my wife had to take me to the emergency room because my head was killing me. They got me feeling better and a couple hours later they let me go home and I will be changing doctors.

The corona virus is a very lonely disease. For me to be told that I would have to be the president or have a lot of money to get any kind of help was insane. I found that Dr Lim had no empathy in him and more that I was bothering him.

The office is efficient and well run. The associates are friendly, compassionate and caring. The nurses are knowledgeable, and always a pleasure to work with. The Doctors are wonderful. We've been associated with Baptist Primary Care for many years and would not consider going anywhere else. Dr. Moore was fantastic (and gone too soon). Dr. James has been the absolute best and I am sorry to see him go (retire) but am happy for him and his family. It's great that the lab is part of the office, and the lab associates are friendly and very competent. It's a great place.

I am a whole person, not a symptom. If I have other problems that surround the symptom that brought me in, and those problems are not resolved, I'd like to be able to discuss them with my doctor, and receive possible referrals or have tests done to determine a treatment plan. I basically paid a co-pay for nothing. I had found a possible remedy, which I asked my doctor about, and he sent a "prescription" over to the Pharmacy for the item I found online, but the item is an OTC remedy, so I couldn't even save on the price with my drug plan. The remedy worked, but it cost me three times as much with gas and co-pay as it would have if I had just taken it myself. My doctor was not interested in the fact that the shortness of breath that I had been being treated for was still going on, despite the steroids and antibiotics (which had caused the problem I came in for). I realize that in the age of Obamacare things have changed about how you deal with your doctor, and what the insurance companies and lawyers require, but I find this system wanting when it comes to treating the whole person. I would prefer a doctor who listens to his patient and lets his transcribing nurse document on the computer. When the computer becomes a distraction from the interaction with the patient, the medicine suffers, and so does the patient.
