Amir Wind, MD Biography and Info

*Dr. Wind will begin practicing at this location on October 1, 2026* Amir Wind, MD, FAAFP, DABDM, is a dual board-certified family medicine and disaster medicine physician who treats patients of all ages. He has practiced family medicine for more than 30 years. During the first decade of his career, Dr. Wind provided full-spectrum family medicine, caring for patients across all stages of life and providing services ranging from deliveries and inpatient care to nursing home care, urgent care and hospice. He then spent the next decades practicing in the emergency department before returning to family medicine five years ago. Today, he continues to care for patients from newborns through adulthood and enjoys performing a variety of in-office procedures.

About Me

I grew up in Jacksonville, and after finishing medical school, I returned to Jacksonville. I have a son and daughter who are both in the medical field, as is my girlfriend. My girlfriend and I like to travel. My hobbies are scuba diving and martial arts.

My philosophy of care is to take the time to listen to a patient. I believe that my role is to advise and educate my patients, but also to let them know they have the final decision in their own care. I feel prevention is a key component of health care and a foundation of family medicine. Having experience in both the inpatient and emergency room setting, I am very comfortable handling a wide variety of conditions and coordinating care with specialists.
