A lot of people who come here are older and are unaccustomed to the approach to medicine that Baptist uses. You may not see an MD doctor until the END of diagnostic steps that involve several appointments for tests and in some cases a good bit of money. When there is pain or worry, talking to a doctor FIRST definitely is more satisfying.

All front desk - check-in personnel are rude and inappropriate. Several privacy mistakes were made. You have been using your new system (EPIC) and portal for over a year but, it appears that the staff has no idea what is displayed or even uploaded by the Patient. I have worked with both EPIC and cerner for years. Educate your staff on being less passive-aggressive and improve their customer service techniques. I have worked in the Baptist Health system for decades (so you never know to who you are showing your lack of professionalism) If your staff is just waiting out retirement and has lost all skills dealing with patients please put them in a file room or cleaning dirty equipment room to finish out their time. Please ask Dr. Boniquist if She would move to the UF Health system.

We've been going to Baptist with the same primary for 8 years and it just never gets better. The amount of time the doctor gives us is nothing. There is no concern and we've had our fair share of ailments. We're changing primary doctors.

I was sick with a bad cough and sinus infection and was told if I was sick I cannot come into office. Dr. Bonaquist Prescribed allergy meds which did nothing. She could not check lungs or throat via tech. I had to go to Carespot to be seen and an antibiotic prescribed. I have never heard of a Dr that would not see sick patients!

I made an appointment to get a Strep test. They told me it had to be virtual which I was not happy with. I made the appt at 3:30. That evening I decided to go to urgent care to get a strep test. At 8 am I called to cancel the appt and the woman told me I would be charged $40 for a no show. She said cancellation policy is 24 hours. However I couldn???t have cancelled before 24 hours bc I had only made the appt at 3:30 the day before. She also mentioned I would be in jeopardy to not be able to return to that office. I was outraged at how inconsiderate and rude she was. I called back and asked to talk to a supervisor??? they took my name and number and never called me back. I am very frustrated and upset about this!

I found the communication and follow-up lacking.I was also having some confusion regarding my prescriptions. I expressed these concerns to the office manager on two separate occasions and each time she promised to get back to me and never did. Never her a word from her again despite her promises. That indicates a poorly managed practice and instilled in me a lack of confidence in their commitment to one???s individual health needs.

I feel judged when I go into the office. Because i have lung issues, the front desk staff assumes I have covid. As my PCP, you should know i have lung issues. Having symptoms similar to covid should not prevent me from receiving the care i deserve and need. I feel more comfortable at urgent care cure than i do visiting my own PCP.

I realize I signed something saying I might get charged an office visit along with my annual covered visit if they felt like it was more like a visit however, in my opinion we just talked about a couple upcoming concerns regarding traveling and questions asked about my general health! We talked about where I am with my hip pain as well! This to me should not qualify for a charge for a regular visit when nothing was looked at or recommended! The front office needs to make sure when they schedule an appointment that they are putting the patient to the correct medical staff. I was supposed to have an appointment with Dr. Bonaquist and the staff put me in with Rachel. They had to change luckily Dr. Bonaquist was able to see me anyway. I know that will not always happen .

Stop the ridiculous mask mandate. Masks do not help stop virus. This is a free country. We have right under the constitution. Do your research!!! Prove masks work and post the proof!!!! Cheerful greeting from the assistant at the front desk. The doctor???s assistant was kind and understanding. Automatic blood pressure cuffs usually punch my arm and it takes several attempts to get a reading. She was nice enough to hunt down a manual cuff and stethoscope. I love Dr. Bonaquist! She listens, gives excellent advice, and is very empathetic. The checkout assistant was very patient and pleasant. Safe distancing in the waiting area and masks are always a plus.

I really liked the Dr but I had to call back 4 times to get my Rx filled. I was assured at my visit that it was taken care of but it never made it to pharmacy. My husband made a special trip to the office after my second phone call got no results. Then the PA called and says the message had been deleted so I had to call again. When the Rx finally got to the pharmacy, it was fir 5mg, not the 1mg I had been taking and it was in granular form, not the tablet I had been taking. So, I had to call again. I am still waiting on a PT referral from a week ago. I???m just tired of calling.

We had a virtual appt for my daughter but to get her excuse for school I had to drive over to the office. And the first time it wasn???t even ready so I had to go home and come back another day. I was told faxing to the school wasn???t allowed which is bizarre to me but I get it. However if you have my email on file I don???t understand why the excuse can???t be emailed. If you are going to have virtual appts then you should have virtual excuse notes. It???s just an electronic signature on the form anyway.

Very kind, professional and she worked hard to find a "new patient" slot that would be the first available. Very much appreciated. Kerrie, Dr Bonaquists' nurse, was great. I was referred by my doctor at MD Anderson for support losing weight before surgery because this PCP "specialized" in weight loss. The doctor seemed distracted during my visit, interrupting me and herself multiple times. In the middle of our consult she left the room to go talk to the nurse. And the only options presented were medication.

Reduce hold time in the phone. Increase staff in the office. There are constant mixup in scheduling and long delays in getting records transferred or getting results.. The doctor is great, but getting her to call me if I have a question is a long process. I literally find it easier to get in my car and drive a half hour than to get an appointment or request made.

It seems almost every time I am depending on this office to follow through they fall short! Provided new insurance at appt and later getting calls etc. that insurance denied due to the office staff not following through appropriately: the new card was scanned into the system but not changed in the system .....needless error due to staff negligence It is the shell game with patients to avoid a long wait in one particular area..the longest wait always is for the doctor. Another physician requested an EKG, part of exam for surgery clearance, had performed at Nocatee office on 4/8 went to the requesting surgeon on 4/14 for pre-Op exam and NO EKG results! Surgeon office called several times to have BP send results ...finally when requested again during my exam the results got faxed over! These types of sloppy, careless errors lead to patients loss of confidence and trust of the office! The newest most modern facility will not improve the service and increase your patient base ! But a good staff that crosses their T's and dots the I's to assure excellent patient experience will be most successful!! If you fail at the little things ,makes one wonder about the more important details!?!

My doctor came to get me from the waiting room and I was happy with her and the visit but then I had to wait at least 20 min.in the room for the medical assistant to come take my vital signs.. I had to also leave a urine sample and when i left it there was another patient’s urine in the door and I had to wait to get someone to help me make sure they had my sample labeled correctly. My patient portal is not working well for me and whenever I call the office to get results I have to leave a message and wait for a call back to talk to a nurse and I always miss them so I typically have to get my results from the front office staff. It seems that over all the office doesn’t answer calls as quickly and there are longer wait times when I am on hold. The over all operations don’t seem as smooth as they have been in the past. Also when I was in the waiting room about eight people checked in and only one of them had their temperature checked as part of the covid screening. The covid screening question has been shortened. To “do you have any symptoms” and that is not a specific screen for covid. I think a better way to communicate results if the portal is not working for patients would be preferable - a call with a voice mail when the results come in rather than I having to initiate the communication. More consistent and precise covid screening and improved provider and patient flow procedures would improve the patient experience. My doctor is wonderful and I want to continue to see her. I think better and more consistent workflows for all staff would improve the situation.
