Baptist Health, the most preferred health system in Northeast Florida, is currently seeking a Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CEP) to join our Cardiac Rehabilitation team at Baptist Clay in Fleming Island, FL.

As a Clinical Exercise Physiologist, you will:

  • Provide treatment to Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab patients across Phases I–III

  • Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments to guide individualized treatment plans

  • Design and implement exercise prescriptions and facilitate progression based on patient needs

  • Monitor patients during exercise sessions, including EKG monitoring and interpretation

  • Educate patients and families on risk factor management, heart-healthy lifestyles, and long-term wellness

  • Complete all required documentation, billing, and coordinate communication with physicians

Qualifications of a Clinical Exercise Physiologist:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, or related field

  • Certification as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist through ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine) strongly preferred

  • Prior experience in Cardiac or Pulmonary Rehabilitation highly desired

  • Current BLS certification (required); ACLS preferred

  • Strong patient education, clinical assessment, and monitoring skills

  • Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CEP) - ACSM Required Or
  • Certified Cardiac Rehab Professional (CCRP) Required
