Baptist Health is looking to add a Medical Assistant in our Neurology Department at Baptist Baymeadows in Jacksonville, Florida. This opening is a full-time opportunity.
This position is for the Baptist Neurology Baptist Baymeadows office. The candidate will be responsible for back office tasks for two providers. This role includes rooming patients, process prescription, chart prep and returning patient calls. Experience is preferred.
As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for:
- Provides nursing assistance to physician
- Obtains vital signs
- Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit
- Maintains medical documentation
- Schedules care, treatment, diagnostic tests per physician
- Processes prescription requests and referrals

Education Required
High School Diploma/GED
Education Preferred

Experience
- 3-5 Years Experience working in a Medical Office Preferred
- 2 years Medical Assistant Experience Preferred
License and Certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Preferred
