Baptist Health is currently looking for a Medical Laboratory Assistant II to join our Laboratory department at Baptist ED Town Center. This is a Full Time, day shift opportunity working in our new draw center opening May 2025!

This Medical Laboratory Assistant II must have experience drawing Pediatrics.

As a Medical Laboratory Assistant II you will be responsible for:

• Performs a variety of clerical and technical duties associated with the pre- and post-analytical handling of laboratory specimens and results.
• Communicates laboratory results and responds to specimen-related questions from physicians and various other caregivers.
• Collects blood specimens for routine and special laboratory procedures.
• Utilizes computer functions.

Education Required

High School Diploma/GED

Education Preferred

Associate's Degree

Experience

• 1-2 years Phlebotomy Experience
• Experience working in a health care setting

License and Certification

• Certified Phlebotomy Technician Preferred

The Baptist Town Center Emergency Center is located at the St. Johns Town Center.  It is a new 16-bed emergency center that houses two emergency centers under one roof - one for adults and one for children.  Conveniently located near the intersection of Interstate 295 and Town Center Parkway, the Baptist/Wolfson Children's emergency center is a true hospital ER, staffed 24/7 by board-certified emergency medicine physicians.  On-site technology includes ultrasound, CT scanner, X-ray, a full service laboratory and telemedicine consultation services.
