Job Summary
Baptist Health is currently looking for a Medical Laboratory Assistant II to join our team at Baptist Medical Center Beaches. This is a PRN, various day shifts opportunity working 7:00am to 5:30pm.
This candidate will be performing specimen management and processing and some phlebotomy procedures and should have experience within both areas. This candidate must have excellent customer service skills as they will be working with other healthcare professionals and patients. This candidate should have comprehensive computer skills as well.
As a Medical Laboratory Assistant II, you will be responsible for:
- Performing a variety of clerical and technical duties associated with the pre- and post-analytical handling of laboratory specimens and results.
- Communicating laboratory results and responding to specimen-related questions from physicians and various other caregivers.
- Collecting blood specimens for routine and special laboratory procedures.
- Utilizing computer functions.

Experience
- Less than 1 year Phlebotomy Experience
- Specimen Processing Experience
