Job Summary
aptist Health is currently looking for a Medical Laboratory Assistant II to join our team at Baptist Silver Leaf Medical Campus in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a full-time, day-shift opportunity working Monday - Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm at our NEW Baptist Silver Leaf location.
The primary care offices will provide family medicine, pediatrics, and internal medicine services. The campus, featuring a patient-centered and environmentally friendly design, is planned to serve the needs of the growing community with space for two more healthcare buildings in the future. As a Medical Laboratory Assistant II, you will be responsible for:
- Performing a variety of clerical and technical duties associated with the pre- and post-analytical handling of laboratory specimens and results.
- Communicating laboratory results and responds to specimen-related questions from physicians and various other caregivers.
- Collecting blood specimens for routine and special laboratory procedures.
- Utilizing computer functions.
