Baptist Medical Center MD Anderson is currently hiring for a Full-Time Days Oncology New Patient Access Team Lead to join our BMDA Patient Access Services department at our Baptist MD Anderson location in Jacksonville, FL.
Shift Details: Monday through Friday | 8:30 AM –5:00 PM
The New Patient Access Team Leadplays a vital role in the coordination of new patient access at Baptist MD Anderson. This role supports front-line staff and ensures smooth, timely scheduling and registration processes to enhance the patient experience and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Monitor the Oncology New Patient Access (ONPAC) Smartsheet workflow and message pools across all disease-specific pods.
Ensure that all scheduled appointments have completed encounters.
Oversee completion of message pools and order facilitator tasks by end of day and report daily to Supervisor.
Meet with team members to review unresolved or incorrect accounts.
Conduct analytics and compare reports to identify delays in onboarding new patients.
Provide support to any disease pod scheduling team as needed.
Answer triage phone calls as directed.
Assist fellow team members with questions and problem-solving on a day-to-day basis.
Interact professionally with patients, internal departments, physician practices, and insurance companies to optimize reimbursement through established collection procedures.
Receive and disseminate clinical information as needed.
