Job Summary

Baptist South is hiring a Patient Access Representative II to join our Patient access team in Jacksonville, FL. This is a PRN position, must have open availability to work weekdays, weeknights, weekends, days, nights, holidays

Patient Access Representative II, Job Responsibilities:

  • Registers patients accurately and efficiently

  • Utilization of multiple systems and interfaces

  • Cross-Trained in order to work in multiple patient access areas

  • Maintains service excellence to patients and visitors for face-to-face and telephonic encounters

  • Contributes to PAS Goals as defined annually (Collections, Palm Scanning, etc.)

  • Possesses a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO

  • Maintains a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members

  • Able to articulate compliance documentation and ensure completion of required patient consent forms

  • Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines

Experience Requirements:

  • 1-2 years Customer Service Experience Required

  • 1-2 years Healthcare experience required

  • 1-2 years Insurance experience required

Education & Credential Requirements:

  • High School Diploma Required
