Job Summary

Baptist Medical Center is currently looking for an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at Baptist Medical Center South. This full-time Pharmacist position is a decentralized, day-shift role (6:30 AM – 3:00 PM) supporting both an Intensive Care and Medical Surgical Unit. In this role, you will actively round with the interdisciplinary medical team, perform order verification, and provide pharmacy consults and clinical interventions to optimize patient care. The position also includes an every-third-weekend rotation, with varying shifts between 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, or 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM based on staffing needs. This opportunity offers a dynamic, patient-facing environment with strong collaboration across care teams.

As a Pharmacist, you will be responsible for:

  • Entering orders with great accuracy.

  • Checking technician work for accuracy prior to release of medications and solutions to the floor.

  • Supervising technicians and serves on committees as assigned.

  • Answering questions for all health care professionals

  • Serving as a consultant for members of the medical staff.

  • Monitoring patient therapy as assigned, including pharmacokinetics services.

Pharmacist Experience:

  • 1-2 years Hospital Pharmacy Experience

  • 1-2 years Experience with Automated Dispensing Devices

  • Residency Training

  • Experience with Pharmacy Information Systems

Education & Credential Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science (Non Nursing)

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

  • Registered Pharmacist Required

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

  • Licensed Pharmacist Required

  • Driver's License Required
