Job Summary
Baptist Medical Center is currently looking for an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at Baptist Medical Center South. This is a Full-Time opportunity to work the day shift with evening and weekend rotation to ensure 24-7 Pharmacy operation. This Pharmacist will be checking patient orders, authorizations, dispensing medications, will be supervising technicians, and consulting with other medical staff on medication and regimens. This Pharmacist will have the autonomy to work independently within a small team with technician support. This candidate must have experience in an inpatient, clinical environment as a Pharmacist. IV Room/ Infusion experience and a completed PGY1 is preferred, but not required.
As a Pharmacist, you will be responsible for:
- Entering orders with great accuracy.
- Checking technician work for accuracy prior to release of medications and solutions to the floor.
- Supervising technicians and serves on committees as assigned.
- Answering questions for all health care professionals
- Serving as a consultant for members of the medical staff.
- Monitoring patient therapy as assigned, including pharmacokinetics services.
Pharmacist Experience:
- 1-2 years Hospital Pharmacy Experience
- 1-2 years Experience with Automated Dispensing Devices
- Residency Training
- Experience with Pharmacy Information Systems
Education & Credential Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science (Non Nursing)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Required
- Registered Pharmacist Required
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- Licensed Pharmacist Required
