Baptist Medical Center is currently hiring for a Part-Time Days Referral Coordinator to join our Life Wellness Center team at Baptist MD Anderson here in the Jacksonville, FL area.

This position is a part of the Life Wellness Center team at BMDA, a retail/DME boutique and will provide retail/point of sale transactions.

Shift Details: Part-Time Wednesday - Friday 8am-5pm

The Referral Coordinator will be interacting with staff, patients, internal departments, physician practices, and insurance companies to obtain maximum reimbursement. The expectation is to have completed around 30-50 authorizations in a day. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and customer service skills. The candidate must be able to accurately complete verification of insurance benefits and authorizations using online tools and/or direct contact with insurance carrier. Patients should be registered in a timely, accurate, and professional manner which reflects the core values of Baptist Health.

As a Referral Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

• Providing referral assistance to physicians, patients, and insurance companies.
• Scheduling appointments, obtain authorizations, and collect patient responsibilities at the time of scheduling.

• Less than 1 year Medical Office Experience
