Job Summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team at Baptist Emergency at Silverleaf, a new free-standing Emergency Department opening Fall 2026. This is a Full-Time opportunity working Days shift with a commitment of 36 hours per week. Scheduled shifts are 7:00AM–7:00PM.

Baptist Emergency at Silverleaf will expand access to high-quality emergency care for residents of St. Johns County and surrounding areas. Designed with efficiency and patient experience in mind, this modern facility will provide comprehensive emergency services in a convenient, community-focused setting.

Registered Nurse, Job Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition• Embrace and uphold the hospital mission statement• Educate patients and families on their disease process and plan of care• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams• Coordinate care provided by ancillary services• Serve as a patient advocate• Participate in staff meetings and unit-based initiatives

Experience Requirements

• 1–2 years Medical Surgical Nursing Experience• Emergency Department Experience Preferred• Hospital Experience• Telemetry Experience

Education & Credential Requirements

• Associate of Science in Nursing Required• Bachelor of Science in Nursing Preferred• Licensed Registered Nurse Required• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred• Certified Emergency Registered Nurse (CEN) Preferred• Conscious Sedation Certification Preferred• NIH Stroke Scale Certification Preferred• Trauma Nurse Core Course Certification (TNCC) Preferred

Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel; coordination of care provided by ancillary services. Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care. Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care. Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses.*Diploma Nurses must have 5+ years of progressive care.
