Job Summary

Registered Nursing Professional Development Specialist, Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, Job Responsibilities:

The role is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs and professional development initiatives for team members across the health system. This role focuses on transition to practice for new graduates and experienced nurses, fosters workplace learning through evidence-based strategies, and applies adult learning principles to meet the diverse needs of clinical teams. The position will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure continuous professional growth and improve patient care outcomes. Certification Note: At least one Baptist Health approved certification is required for this role. NPD certification is highly encouraged within 3 years of hire. Education Note: Master's degree in nursing required within 24 months of hire.

Experience Requirements:

  • Over 5 years’ Experience in Pediatric Setting Required

  • Over 5 years’ Experience in Acute Care Setting Required

  • Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Experience Required

  • Leadership Experience Preferred

  • Learning and Development Preferred

Education and Certification Requirements:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Required

  • Nursing Professional Development - Board Certified (NPD-BC) Preferred

  • Licensed Registered Nurse Required

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Required

  • Nursing Professional Development - Board Certified (NPD-BC) Preferred

  • Licensed Registered Nurse Require

  • Master of Science in Nursing Or

  • Master of Health Administration Or

  • Master of Business Administration Or
