*Dr. Federico will begin practicing at this location on September 13, 2026.* Justin Federico, DO, is a board-certified internal medicine physician who treats patients ages 18 and up and has been a trusted member of the Baptist Health medical community since 2012. After years of caring for acutely ill patients as a hospitalist, Dr. Federico transitioned to primary care with a deep commitment to disease prevention, early detection and lifestyle change. He believes the foundation of great healthcare is patient education and a collaborative partnership between physician and patient. As a lifelong learner, Dr. Federico remains at the forefront of medical advancements and emerging approaches to care. He also helps shape the future of medicine locally as Program Director for the Baptist Health Internal Medicine Residency, bringing academic excellence and the latest medical knowledge into personalized, everyday patient care.

About Me

I am a Jacksonville native and returned to the area in 2008 to complete my residency at UF Health, be closer to my younger siblings as they grew up and eventually start a family with my wife, whom I met at Baptist. Today, our children reflect the passions we share as a family, including music, reading and spending time outdoors.

I believe an informed patient is an empowered and actively involved partner in their own healthcare. Patients who understand their health are better equipped to make informed decisions and take meaningful steps toward wellness. For me, that process begins with trust and communication. I take the time to listen to each patient’s story, not simply to identify a diagnosis or develop a treatment plan, but to understand how I can make complex medical concepts easier to understand and apply. I value those “Eureka!” moments when a patient truly understands their health and feels confident taking an active role in their care. Together, we can turn that shared knowledge into a personalized path toward optimal, long-term wellness.
