Which surfaces should you disinfect?
Spend extra time cleaning these high-touch surfaces in your home

When you’re spending more time at home then you normally would, you start to notice the areas of the house that seem a little neglected—those cabinets filled with old books that you’ve been meaning to donate to Goodwill, those blinds that you meant to dust a few months ago. As you’re planning for spring cleaning, while keeping in mind the need to protect your family from coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), what cleaning jobs should you prioritize?
We spoke to Michelle Maynard, MPH, CIC, CPHQ, Baptist Health’s system infection prevention and control manager, and reviewed the CDC’s website to come up with the list below.
Also, speaking of frequently touched surfaces, don’t forget to check out this guide for sanitizing your phone.
At Baptist Health, we want to help keep you and your family informed about COVID-19. We’re coordinating with the health department and following CDC guidelines to ensure the health and safety of our community.
