In this class, an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant or Certified Lactation Counselor will teach you the most important evidence-based concepts needed to get breastfeeding off to the best start.
Topics include:
- How our body makes breast milk
- Breastfeeding skills (latch and position)
- Baby's feeding cues and patterns
- Pumping and storage (hand expressions)
- Breast care and comfort
- Common breastfeeding concerns

What about breast health?
Breastfeeding has many benefits for mom and baby. It can even lower your risk for breast cancer. But you should still see your doctor for routine well-woman care. Mammograms and biopsies can be performed without harming your breastmilk.
