Breastfeeding 101 Main Content

In this class, an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant or Certified Lactation Counselor will teach you the most important evidence-based concepts needed to get breastfeeding off to the best start.
Topics include:
- How breastfeeding works
- Proper latch and position
- How long and how often to feed
- Baby's feeding cues
- Signs that baby is getting enough
- Breast care and comfort
Registration is required for these classes. Please allow 5 days for the zoom link to be sent to you. Please check your spam folder if not in the email you provided to us. These classes are non-refundable once the link is sent.
What about breast health?
Breastfeeding has many benefits for mom and baby. It can even lower your risk for breast cancer. But you should still see your doctor for routine well-woman care. Mammograms and biopsies can be performed without harming your breastmilk.

Class Refund Policy
To accommodate others who wish to attend in-person classes we ask that all cancellations be submitted at least 72 hours prior to the start of the class. If you paid a fee for the event and you submitted the cancellation notice 72 hours or more to the start of the event you can either apply the class fee to another Baptist Health event or request a refund. These classes are not recorded and presentations from the class will not be made available.
All pre-recorded classes are non-refundable.
