Pharmacy Technician, IV Admix, PRN, Baptist Infusion Therapy

Job Summary

Baptist Health is currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Registered IV Admixture Pharmacy Technician to join our Baptist Infusion Therapy team! This is a PRN (as needed) opportunity working various weekday shifts during business hours (Monday–Friday), offering a mix of flexibility and meaningful experience in a specialized care setting. As an IV Admixture Pharmacy Technician, you'll play a critical role in preparing sterile, life-enhancing medications—especially IV solutions—by following aseptic techniques to prepare customized IV mixtures into IV bags and/or syringes as prescribed. As an IV tech, you will ensure the safety and quality of compounded therapies in accordance with USP <797> standards. You’ll also perform inventory checks, batch preparations, and provide telephonic support to patients, contributing to positive outcomes beyond the pharmacy walls.

As an IV Admixture Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Assisting the pharmacist on duty in preparing and distributing medications.

• Filling automated dispensing cabinets and unit-dose medication orders and envelopes.

• Performing basic reconstitution of oral suspensions.

• Maintaining drug inventory and assisting with medication packaging.

• Ensuring compliance with USP <797> standards in daily duties involving IV admixture and TPN preparation.

• Working under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Qualifications:

• Must be licensed in the State of Florida.

• 1–2 years of experience as a pharmacy technician required.
