Sr. Workday/UKG Systems Application Analysts serve as technical leaders responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting highly complex enterprise-wide Workday and UKG solutions that enable Human Resources, Payroll, Benefits, Finance, and operational teams across Baptist Health. This role requires extensive knowledge of Human Capital Management (HCM), Workforce Management (WFM), enterprise systems architecture, integrations, security, and technical infrastructure. Analysts act as a strategic bridge between business operations and Information Systems, translating complex business requirements into scalable technology solutions that improve operational efficiency, strengthen system performance, and support organizational initiatives A significant portion of an analyst's day is devoted to leading technical projects, troubleshooting complex application and system issues, supporting enterprise integrations, and maintaining highly available business-critical systems. Responsibilities include resolving multifaceted issues involving application configuration, integrations, interfaces, databases, security, middleware, and system performance while supporting Workday and UKG releases, enhancements, and optimization efforts. Analysts collaborate with vendors, infrastructure teams, cybersecurity, database administrators, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure enterprise applications remain secure, reliable, and aligned with organizational objectives. Much of this work is coordinated through Microsoft Teams, email, project meetings, technical design sessions, and cross-functional governance activities.
Sr. Workday/UKG Systems Application Analysts also spend time leading enterprise initiatives alongside Human Resources, Payroll, Benefits, Finance, Information Systems, Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, and vendor partners. Their week may include project planning sessions, architecture reviews, implementation meetings, production support, change management activities, and executive stakeholder discussions. Throughout the day, they mentor junior analysts, provide technical leadership across multiple projects, establish best practices, perform quality assurance and integrated testing, and coordinate cross-functional initiatives that support the organization's enterprise technology strategy.
Sr. Workday/UKG Systems Application Analyst Responsibilities:
  • Lead highly complex enterprise-wide application initiatives, serving as both technical lead and project leader while mentoring application analysts and promoting technical and operational best practices.
  • Provide technical expertise in the architecture, development, implementation, configuration, optimization, and support of Workday, UKG, and other enterprise business applications.
  • Design, support, and troubleshoot complex application configurations, integrations, interfaces, security models, databases, middleware, and enterprise system connectivity.
  • Analyze and translate Human Resources, Payroll, Benefits, Timekeeping, Talent Management, Compensation, Recruiting, Workforce Management, and enterprise business requirements into scalable technology solutions.
  • Plan, design, develop, validate, test, implement, evaluate, maintain, and support enterprise information system components and integrated technologies.
  • Lead enterprise application upgrades, releases, technical implementations, optimization initiatives, and large-scale cross-functional projects.
  • Perform quality assurance, integrated testing, change management, and release validation to ensure application reliability, performance, and system integrity.
  • Develop technical documentation, system architecture diagrams, workflow documentation, implementation plans, and support documentation.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, Security, Database Administration, Integration teams, vendors, and operational leaders to support enterprise technology initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot multifaceted issues involving software, hardware, interfaces, integrations, databases, security, and enterprise applications.
  • Participate in enterprise-wide project teams while simultaneously managing multiple initiatives and priorities.
  • Provide 24/7 operational support for assigned enterprise applications and systems as part of an on-call rotation.
Experience:
  • 2+ years of project leadership or project management experience required.
  • Minimum of 4 years supporting Workday, UKG, or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Workforce Management (WFM) platforms required.
  • Experience implementing, configuring, optimizing, and supporting enterprise Workday and/or UKG applications preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Human Resources, Payroll, Benefits, Timekeeping, Talent Management, Compensation, Recruiting, Workforce Management, and enterprise business operations preferred.
  • Experience supporting enterprise integrations, APIs, middleware, security, reporting, data conversions, and system architecture preferred.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex issues across software, hardware, databases, interfaces, integrations, and enterprise security.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional technical projects and mentor junior analysts.
  • Strong experience using Microsoft Visio for workflow documentation, architecture diagrams, and implementation planning preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, technical, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills required.
Education/Degree Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree
Certifications:
  • Workday and/or UKG Certification required within six months of hire, if not already certified.
  • Current Workday or UKG certifications in HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Time Tracking, Absence, Recruiting, Talent, Compensation, Integrations, Security, or related modules preferred.
  • Experience supporting other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platforms or Workforce Management (WFM) solutions preferred.
