Sonia Burns, APRN is a board-certified adult-gerontology nurse practitioner who became interested in cardiology in high school and became a certified nursing assistant working with geriatric patient populations and developed a deeper desire to continue her education throughout the years. Her philosophy of care is nursing is a calling and has been called into this ministry of health and healing for over 20 years of which consist of an advanced practice degree. About Me

I love being a mentor and an advocate for both my colleagues and patients. Patient-provider relationships are important to establish and have trusting relationships which are patient-centered and together will make informed decisions based on their values, beliefs, and up-to-date evidence-based practices for best patient outcomes.

I have an amazing husband and two amazing adult sons. One is active duty military and the other is a business owner. I have several hobbies I love, which consist of biking, kayaking, golfing and roller skating. I also love to travel, cook and read.
