The staff is always very helpful and knowledgeable. Dr Cleland is very thorough and gives me confidence I am in the best hands for my endocrine issues. Tabitha has been so flexible with telehealth visits over the past couple of years. I always feel I can call the office and resolve any issues promptly. Cheryl is always a pleasure to work with on medicine assistance. She knows the options and assist with confidence. Diabetes is very complex and difficult to manage. It takes a team that has processes in place that are used everyday to meet demand.

This office is very professional in all areas. They have their act together unlike other medical practices I could name. The only area I think improvement is needed is being able to connect with your provider without going through some hoops. Regarding the physicians and other providers here, we haven't had any issues at all. In fact I would go so far to say that this is a very caring group regarding their patient's health. They really care about you here. I do recommend Baptist Endocrinology highly

Everyone I encounter is friendly, efficient, and just plain NICE!! They ask questions and listen to the answer. Intuitiveness is the word that comes to mind, and then validating by asking questions, without making assumptions and simply sending you on your way. I highly recommend Baptist Endocrinology.

I am assuming that 7:00 am appointment should be the first appointment of the day, and I waiting for a 1/2 hour to be seen? My time is as valuable as the PA time, I don't see any respect for my time. If I was an 1/2 hour late. I would have been told we see if we can fit you in!!

I never have to wait long and I never feel that I am rushed when I get there. Wanda is always cheerful when she checks me in. Tabitha is thorough and allows me to ask questions???always explains labs and any changes we need to make. This diagnosis came as a shock at the age of 76 but the people in this office have helped me see and experience it as a manageable bump in the road.

I wasn???t impressed with the NP I met with. She was short with me, didn???t seem to understand why I was in the office and said ???endocrinologists don???t help with weight loss???. I was extremely disappointed. She sent my prescriptions to the wrong pharmacy and ordered blood work I just had two weeks ago. Wasn???t a very helpful appointment and definitely felt like I wasn???t being heard

First and foremost, Wanda in the front office is an absolute joy to deal with, she is always cheerful, warm, and welcoming. Starting off that way at a doctors office can make all the difference in a patient???s perspective of that doctors office. Secondly, Ms. Tabatha is a great listener, and always willing to ???knock around ideas??? and provide options if available. I appreciate this approach so that I have an opportunity to know what options are available and help decide which one might work for me the best. I also appreciate Tabatha letting me know when and how medication???s should be taken for them to work the best. My overall experience has always been awesome and I appreciate the care that I receive as well as my daughter who is also a patient of Tabatha???s.

It is extremely difficult to reach anyone in the office. All calls are on hold for 15 minutes minimum before they are answered. I had difficulty getting labs drawn due to incorrect requisition, which meant I needed to reschedule lab appointment and office visit. When I finally met with my care provider, she rushed through the visit, and was more focused on typing notes into the computer than actually meeting with me. Check out staff is abrupt, and was dismissive. Quality of care is lacking and has deteriorated substantially since I began with this practice many years ago now. I will not be returning unless absolutely necessary. Currently looking for a different provider.

The Tuesday 02/28/23 I met with the NP Tabitha O, she had told me to take Tirosint 75 mg on weekdays and take the 50 mg on Sundays. I told her that I still have the Tirosint that I have refilled in January, so I would take that. Then On Wednesday 03/03/23, have gotten a text message from my pharmacy telling me that the the prescription by Tabitha wasn???t approved by my health insurance. I called the pharmacy and they told me that the prescription of Levothyroxine 75 mg capsules wasn???t approved by my insurance. While I was on the phone with them, they had prepared an pre-approvals and faxed to Tabitha . They said once Tabitha sign and fax the form back to the insurance company, it should be approved soon and that I should have the medication I need right away. I called the Endocrinologist office and the receptionist wasn???t very helpful, so I sent Tabitha messages about the insurance issues and the pre- approval form. However The NP ignore my questions on the patient portal and tell me that since my prescriptions weren???t approved by the insurance company. May be I should make frequent visit with the endocrinologist office! As of now I still don???t know what thyroid medicine to take. I haven???t taken my medication since last week as she is not answering my questions about what to take. I need doctor Cleland to be my doctor again instead of having me being treated by someone who has no interest or regards of my health as a priority. My TSH was 13.17. It???s very high. I would think as a health care professionals should treat the patient as a priority and discard any personal feelings. The NP sounds like she was mad at me by asking her questions. Meantime my health is in jeopardy because of her attitude. If I suffer any health setback, that is because I of her. Regards, Po Chu Svendsen 904-699-9715.

Dr. Crawford??? s Nurse Practitioner that I saw was very rude to me. I was never informed by anyone in the practice that I needed labs done before my Prolea shot. I went to the office to be told they couldn???t give me the shot. I paid my $40 copay and received no services. I will go back in July and see Dr. Crawford and receive my prolea shot. This is not the first time I have been treated rudely by Tabitha. On Monday during the appointment she suggested that if I wasn???t happy I should go back to my old doctor. I informed her that the reason for the change was my doctor retired.

Ever since Dr. Salomone left the practice and I have been paired up with Oravitz I have not been thrilled. This last visit left me in tears actually, literally sobbed in my car in the parking garage. She made me feel like she did not want to be bothered with me or anything I had to say. I left there feeling dismissed and unheard. While my bloodwork may have been normal, my symptoms are not. I received the visit summary in the mail the other day and it has a few discrepancies on it.. 1. Review in systems were not correct. 2. Physical exam grossly incorrect. She NEVER laid a hand on me to be able to tell if I have a goiter in my neck or if my skin was warm and dry, no examination of extremities. Every symptom I read off to her, she passed it off onto something else; like another Dr. to check out. Because my bloodwork was normal it COULD NOT be my thyroid. When I asked her if I could read my list of symptoms to her, she seemed annoyed and dismissive. My PCP asked me to bring my latest bloodwork to her to look at and she didn't even want to take it from me to see. Literally glanced at it and gave it back to me. I know my body and something is wrong. I even told her that and she seemed to not care. I am supposed to come back in a year, but I will not come back to her. I will need to see someone else or go somewhere else. I want to feel like I am being listened to and heard. She does not make me feel that way.

Dr Cleland is an outstanding clinician. He???s a kind and gentle msn that obviously cares for his patients well being. His office staff is well trained and professional. It???s surprising that the nurse practitioner is allowed to set foot into this office when compared with the rest of the very polite and helpful staff. The nurse practitioner was unhelpful and downright rude. My visit was to discuss significant weight gain (in excess of 20 pounds) over the past war, despite exercise and eating less. She refused to acknowledge that I had gained weight and ignored me when I asked to see my chart showing what she was talking about. From my perspective I was being very polite still and tried to be the bigger person throughout the whole interaction. She instead responded, ???well what do you want me to do about it???? What kind of provider asks a patient that? I asked her to check some of my hormone levels. ???Exactly what hormone levels should I check then???? All I could think of was testosterone, so that???s all I left with. She then argued with me when I said that my OBGYN doubted my PCOS diagnosis. Instead of educating me, she said ???Well, I don???t know why he would say that because you have PCOS,??? and refused to discuss further. When I gave some very valid concerns regarding medications she suggested based on serious health problems I???m having, she sarcastically and audibly charted ???refused x medication.??? Towards the end of our discussion, she said something along the lines of ???I???m not sure what you expect me to do here. Do you want me to stick you with weight loss shots???? No. I simply wanted a provider to at least pretend to have some amount of bedside manner and explain things to me so I can investigate this issue. My visit to see this provider was after years of seeing nobody because of how rude she had been last time. I decided to give her a second chance. Now I am without a provider, because I doubt that I will be able to switch within the group and finding and endocrinologist In Jacksonville is surprisingly difficult. I would suggest training, but I truly think that this issue is beyond repair when it comes from such a deep place in someone???s personality. I was firm but very polite and respectful the entire conversation. I still don???t know how it???s possible that she gets away with being this unprofessional and rude to patients, unless it was solely directed towards me. I don???t normally leave bad responses. Im a nursing student who wants to be an NP someday, so I try to give healthcare workers the benefit of the doubt when possible, but this was beyond unacceptable.

I didn???t get to see my regular doctor. I was seen by his PA. I told her I have a sinus infection and asked her about an antibiotic. She then tells me it???s probably viral and let it run it???s course. A sinus INFECTION needs medication to go away. I???ve had them my entire life. I have been dealing with it for 2 weeks almost 3. I needed an antibiotic. I now have no faith in this PA. I like Dr Cleland but if I am forced to see this PA again I will find another doctor. You can fix my issue by ensuring I do not have to see Tabitga at this office again.
