Your front desk is and will continue to be a challenge. They never make me feel welcome. Why are the windows always closed, half closed. Why do we have to sit their and wait for them every single time. When approached, it's never a hello, how are you, or any type of pleasantry. Usually it's just "Name?" I walk away always with a sour feeling in my stomach because of them. Last time I went, she just stared at me and didn't say anything. So, I stared back and waited for her to speak. I don't work there, so YOU start the conversation and help me understand what you need to begin this transaction. She was pleasant after that, but I really only feel that's because I was super, extra nice...really pathetic that I had to work for that interaction. I didn't catch her name...between the half frosted window, huge monitor, I can barely see over and in there. While I am a patient of yours, I am also a customer, but I don't feel appreciated by your front desk. Nurses, Dr. Perera, phlebotomist...A-1 perfect service! i feel wanted, respected, and like they genuinely care. It's just your front office staff that continues to need improvement.

I have a bruised left arm as a result of the Clinical staff failure to draw blood for Lab. He attempted twice and not able to do so. I went to the hospital instead and waited to have my blood drawn. This is not the first time that I???ve had this problem. I will definitely go somewhere to have my lab work done.

Takes way too long to get appointments. They have lost so many doctors and now lost their ARNP Susan who you could always see if your dr unavailable. You have to make your next appointment months ahead and things might come up in that time that cause a need to reschedule and then it???s even longer to get an appointment. I do like dr Perrera though and the front desk girls are always nice and helpful in person and the on the phone. I really, really, miss Dr James.

While waiting for a pap smear, I was wearing the gown and paper drape when Dr. Perera apologized and said she needed to do something in another room. She then left and left the door wide open to the exam room that I was in. She was gone for a few minutes and then apologized for "leaving me exposed to the world". I couldn't get up myself to close the door without risking exposing myself. I didn't mind that she needed to attend to something else, it happens. But I was shocked that she left the exam door room wide open when she left.

Primary office is nice and clean. Staff is friendly and pleasant to talk with. Dr. Perera is always professional and a wonderful physician. I also like that there is a lab inside the primary office so I don???t have to go to Lab Corp or Quest for labs. This particular primary office is great and my experience has been very pleasant here over the past several years.

I came in under the assumption as the scheduling staff told me I was scheduled for getting multiple things taken care of while I was at my appointment only to find out after I took a half day off work that I wouldn't be able to get any of the things I had on schedule to complete as I was a new patient and I would have to return on another scheduled appointment to take care of the rest. I paid 100$ out of my own pocket plus everything insurance doesn't cover only to have to do it all over again to complete why I had even scheduled the appointment in the first place. I was also disappointed that I was told to arrive by 130pm no later for my 2pm appointment, I arrived at the time I was told only to find out the office had closed for a 2 hour meeting and I couldn't even get into the facility until a few minutes after 2pm. I took time out of my work schedule to get to the appointment by the time I was told I HAD to be there by only for the office not to be ready.

I recently had Covid I had three virtual visits and calls from the nurse. It made me feel like I wasn???t forgotten. The office got me in to get the Regeneron treatment at Baptist. I am feeling much better and couldn???t have done it without the good treatment.

Dr. Perera and Amy are great when visiting in the office. Relatable and a true concern for my care comes across. I have no complaints for them, and actually feel that they have my best interest in mind. Getting in touch with your office is a night mare though. if I call, the VRU says I'm in queue position 1, but may wait 20-30 minutes with no answer. I leave a message, and no one calls back. It's very disappointing and stressful to have to deal with this, while also trying to heal and decrease my stress level. Baptist's portal should make it easier to engage with your PCP or appropriate contact for questions, I.e, questions about diagnosis, next steps, documentation, or just needing to know what is going on and why no one is responding. Bottom-line, your communication channels need serious improvement.

Dr. Perera! My husband and have been her patients for over ten years. She is always helpful, is genuinely caring and willing to advise us and recommend us to other specialists, when needed. She’s a fount of information and is a true partner in our health. Nurses are overall excellent; one perceived my husband’s lack of oxygen with labored breathing. She saved his life as he went from your office to St. Vincent’s by ambulance where he was admitted with pulmonary embolisms. I love Dr Perea!!! Could not find a better doctor anywhere. Just wish the call back nurses would ensure they get back to you sooner. Or would follow up following day if message was left after hours. I had left a few messages (3) and the last message was returned a few minutes past 5, when I tried to call back right away, it was after hours. I know it’s an odd time for everyone however I would have loved getting through to Dr Perea sooner. She always knows exactly how to fix whatever you have going on. I would not trade her for the world.

I love Dr Perera. She kept calling until my husband went to a urologist and he had prostate cancer. She also found a place on my ear that was cancerous, too. She is very thorough and great with follow up.

The office is always very clean. The staff is friendly and always willing to help. This help starts from the minute you reach the front desk , then to the Nurses then to your Doctor. And theirs never a long wait. I've been with this Baptist Health office for 19 years, even before they moved to this location. Which leads me to tell you about my Doctor. She is Dr. Amila Perera. She is patient, professional, and very knowledgeable. I can't imagine my life without her. Do the the pandemic my last Dr. appt was a virtual appt., at my request. That was a new experience for me. At first I was a little intimidated, because I'm not that good with computers. But is was very easy. And all went well. Thanks

I need to go to gynecologist. So I decided to see my primary doctor and wanted her opinion. I like my doctor. She gave me the info of gynecologist. I supposed to get phone call from them to make an appointment. But I still don’t get any phone call. I called them 2 times and I called Baptist primary care too. I have been waiting for a month to make an appointment with gynecologist since I visited my doctor. Primary doctor supposed to send my info to gynecologist. I spent a lot of money to see my doctor. I can’t understand why it takes so long to make an appointment with gynecologist. I don’t want to waste my time. I already called Baptist primary care once. A lady told me I will get phone call from gynecologist in 3 days. No one follow up patients? I feel no one help me.

The office staff is always very helpful and friendly. Scheduling appointments are always very simple and easy. Dr. Perera is extremely helpful and I feel like she honestly cares about her patients. She makes me feel comfortable in uncomfortable situations and I would highly recommend her. The appointments are always on time for seeing the Dr and for lab work. I have been to a lot of different Dr.'s over my lifetime and this is the best Dr and office I have ever been to. I appreciate the staff and the work they are doing during this difficult time.

The friendliness of the office staff , as well as the nurses They are all very knowledgeable , helpful and professional. I love my Doctor , Dr Perera She is so well educated , kind and understanding When she wanted me to see some specialists , they all spoke highly of her , and my cardiologist said she was prescribing exactly the medications I needed from a cardiology standpoint. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. The entire staff is Great and their lab employees draw my blood and I don’t feel a thing !! Thank you all for keeping me healthy. ??????
