My visit summaries do not line up, with my visits... I was there complaining about what was considered a bad cold, causing nasal and chest congestion, and lack of sleep due to that. IT WAS a physical visit; however, no blood work. Appointment was at 4:45... everyone was ready to go home, I get it. But my visit and summary were gundecked. All of my visits are subject to VA review. I need everything documented thoroughly!!

I just feel this way over years of tolerating the long wait time to see your doctor, only to be rushed out during the physical visit. I just haven't found a replacement doctors office yet. So, no I wouldn't encourage someone else to go through this too.

I love the fact that someone is available to take your call and when you are really sick if you can't get an appointment they will do a visual call appointment with you. I also like my doctor Dr Meil, he is very professional and kind and always suggest the right treatments for me. The staff and secretaries are also very nice, and the facilities are always nice and clean would recommend Baptist primary to my friends and family.

I wanted to do my lab work on my doctor appointment day. Lane Ave. location does not allow it. You can have lab work done the same day as your doctor visit when you use the Regency Square location. (That is where I used to go.) I do not understand why you can't at the Lane Ave. location. Very, very odd!

Dr. Miel just treated me like another patient. As a new patient, he did not take time to get to know me. While I was telling him my concerns, he was not listening. When he ordered labs, he did not tell me what the labs were for. I had to ask him. My time with him was rushed. Being that this is my first time at this office, Dr. Miel left a bad first impression. And I do not feel I can trust him as my doctor. If this is how he is with every patient, I would not recommend him to anyone.

Front staff was courteous. The staff in the back treated me like cattle going through vitals. Also, I have been requested to change physicians within the practice to Scarbororoufh as my wife sees her, but I am told ???we are not allowing that at this time??? followed by ???we dont know when but you can feel free to go somewhere else???. I have asked to speak to management about this as there hasnt been a clear answer as to why I cannot switch physicians within the practice. Miel is an adequate doctor, bur there is some conflict of interest in the past about personal things that I would rather not see him and see the physician my wife sees.

From my understanding a doctor is suppose to review his patients chart prior to seeing them to have the BEST understanding of their patients health to develop a plan to keep that patient at their best health based on the doctor recommendation. Dr.Emmanual Miels since becoming a patient of his in October of 2022 has always appear to be unorganized, unprepared, not friendly & don't know what's going on. He ask you questions that is already in the charts not so much about how you're feeling. Things like what kind of medication your own, what was the results of a testing procedure. Recent activity that he can see if he would have studied the charts. It's not like they don't give you an appointment for no reason. He just needs to be more proactive and do better. I'm currently looking into changing my primary care physician because the care I need is extensive and this doctor doesn't seem too interested in my health abilities.

Dr. Miel is a new doctor for me, having only seen him twice. Both times he was very professional, polite, and knowledgeable. He recommended that I stop taking 2 meds that I have taken for years, explaining that they had bad side affects, and suggested different meds instead. I am following his advice and am very pleased with the results!

Ever since ???covid??? I feel as though Dr Miel does not actually listen to my health concerns. Any issues I experience he states ???that???s related to your covid???. He has forgotten to place orders for me. Even before I contracted covid, I c/o constant hot flashes, period changes and was told I???m too young for menopause. Now when I c/o of the exact same thing I was told ???covid can change your period???. Still not being worked up for menopause. I could go on and on but I don???t think I???ll have enough space on here to write it all.

When the patient is told by the receptionist that they have a balance pass due, and I pay the amount in full on Nov 25, 2020. Then a year later the same amount shows back up, and is written on my chart that I still owe $54.37. This was very frustrating and to have one of the receptionist tell me they don't have time to check with billing.to clear the matter up, when I told them that I paid this amount and have my bank record showing it came out of my checking account. I felt like I was being harass by a certain clerk who I had discuss this matter before.

Very little waiting time and the staff is super friendly. Dr. Miel is very professional, I had a serious situation and he made sure testing etc. was done quickly to pinpoint my issue so he could treat it accordingly. He even called me twice to check on me and the status of my prescription. When he found out there was a delay, he was able to locate some medicine for me until my prescription was ready. This was very important due to my condition.

I came in for concern & clean out My ears! EVERYTIME! I, saw Your place, the ONLY concern the Doctor had, was sticking something up My ass! Oh!, You refuse, sign this! Guess that is where ear wax lays, or starts. I am done.By the way, 2 nurses looked in My ears, said " yes, I see some blockage." Doctor, because I refused an ass pounding, said " Your fine, I will recamend a EMT specialist, there is nothing, I can do for You". Basically asking Me to leave the office! Thanks for NOTHING!!!

I am new at this facility with Dr Miel. I transferred locations due to Dr Larmoyeux retiring. I really like Dr Miel. He is straight forward and really listens to what I have to say. My first appointment with him, he knew my history and all I had to do is confirm the information. I was so impressed with the fact that he took the time to read my records. Trust me I know that was a huge task in its self.

The way they have it set up upon the admittance it provides me with a feeling of safety. Everybody remains in their masks they have the floors marked 6 feet apart the staff is well protected as well as the patient. My doctor is amazing he listens to me and addresses my concerns offers the best solution and he's a part of the Baptist Health System. I am learning to love and appreciate with my entire heart. Appointment via phone / video chat and live in person so there's never a reason to miss an appointment you can always get the care you need. I'm grateful for having them in my life and I thank them all. The staff is professional, personable, polite & friendly.

I am a patient of Dr. Miel. I am always impressed with his interest in both my health and my life. I am in my second year of medical school and he is quick to listen and offer advice. The medical assistants are always knowledgable and efficient. Even during the complex environment we are in now with covid-19, the office ran smoothly. There was a set process from making an appointment all the way to seeing the doctor. I am pleased with my care at BPC Lane.

Dr. Miel’s nurse is usually rude when I have my appointments but she was extremely rude this time. My son has been working on completing the HPV series. In January, when we scheduled either the second or third shot, when we were taken back to the exam room she informed us that we had waited to long and the previous shot(s) were no longer valid - so we needed to start the series over. When I asked her why we weren’t scheduled sooner, she informed me that it was my job to determine when the next appointment should be scheduled. Twice since then she scheduled us too soon and we were told we would need to reschedule and come back. During one of these visits she reminded me that I had an upcoming appointment. When I asked her what it was for, she said that she didn’t know and that it was my appointment and I should know what it was for. During my last visit, two of my boys were scheduled for shots - one of them was for the HPV Shot that we thought would be the last in the series but ended up being the second time we were told that he was booked too soon and he wasn’t due until July 24 or 25 (I can’t remember which). When we arrived, The nurse at the front checked all three of our temperatures, gave us our sticky notes with our temperatures written on them and used the walkie talkie to call and let someone know that the Poleski family was there for appointments. My youngest was scheduled for 3:15 PM, the oldest for 3:45 PM and I was scheduled for 4:00 PM with Dr. Miel. Dr. Miel’s nurse came out and called “Mrs. Poleski”, so all three of us got up and walked to the back and stood in front of the scale. I told my youngest to get on the scale. The nurse got aggravated and said, “I didn’t call his name, I called your name, he’s seeing the nurse”. I got on the scale and then we all walked to the room to get my vitals taken. I said to the nurse that their appointments were before mine which is why we were confused. She snapped back at me, “excuse me Mrs. Poleski, are you having a bad day?”. I replied “No, I’m having a great day”, to which she replied “I think we need to reset and start over. Hi Mrs. Poleski, How are you, I’m going to take your vitals”. I didn’t say anything else while she took my vitals and my boys were very uncomfortable. Then she told me to follow her to the exam room. I got up to leave and then asked “what about my boys?” She said “ the nurse will come get them and bring you paperwork to sign”. I had my appointment with Dr. Miel, which is always good but no one ever came to let me know anything about my boys Or have me sign anything (they are 11 and 17 years of age). When I got up to find them they had been taken across the hall to a different exam room but they were just sitting there. The nurse did nothing with them. Just to recap, my boys appointments were at 3:15 and 3:45, mine wasn’t until 4:00. It was 4:20 at this point. When the nurse came in to let us know what she was going to do, she let us know that my oldest was there too soon for the HPV shot. This was the second time this had happened. I got upset and let her know this was the second time this had happened and that it was ridiculous. She asked if I wanted to proceed with the immunizations they could get and if I would like to speak with the office manager. I said yes to both. When she left the room to get their shots ready, my boys and I heard her say condescendingly to Dr. Miel’s nurse, “you’re right, she is really pleasant”. My oldest boy looked at me and said, “oh no!”. I didn’t say anything to her about it when she came back into the room because My boys were afraid if I did she would be mean while giving their shots. When she was done the office manager came in, And I gave the same recount I’m giving here but she didn’t seem concerned about the staff’s behavior at all. She was only focused on the fact that we had been scheduled wrong twice for the HPV series. The mis-scheduling is unbelievable, but the unprofessional staff is just as bad if not worse and it’s a reoccurring theme with Dr. Miel’s nurse. I am extremely happy with Dr. Miel and the rapport we’ve built. My kids like him too, but I am considering finding a different PCP because the nurse is always so rude and mean to us. It’s every single visit. When I took my eleven yr. old to get his flu shot a few months ago, he got scared and jumped when she put the needle in his arm. The shot came out. He didn’t yell or anything, he just jumped and pulled his arm away - so she had to restick him. Instead of saying anything nice or comforting, she looked at him like he was crazy and said, “are you serious?” He’s eleven! He replied to her, “sorry, I wasn’t ready, I got nervous”. Then she said while looking at him like she was so irritated, “are you ready now?”. I can’t imagine I’m the only person who has had bad experiences with this nurse. She’s just not nice and seems irritated having to do her job. There’s really no reason to be mean to people who are coming to you for care. My family shouldn’t have anxiety about having to see the rude nurse before getting to the doctor. I appreciate that the office manager wants to protect her people, but not to the detriment of the facility and doctor patient relationship. It’s bad business.
