Facility is dangerous to leave, SR 13 traffic is hazardous at best. Facility seems old. Physician will only address issue that was reason for appointment. Any other questions require next day appointment. Lack of compassion is depressing. Front nurse or staff area is a gathering for the staff to gossip. As a patient I felt like an intruder.

I made the appointment because I broke my toe. I came in to see my doctor Sophia Rak. She started the appointment fussing at me about not having a physical or coming to see her for a few years. I was in a lot of pain and my physical had nothing to do with the reason I was there. That could scheduled another time. But the worst part was after my x-ray, the doctor left me sitting in the waiting room for over an hour and a half. When she finally came back, she announced that she had forgotten about me. I told her how much pain I was in and she did not prescribe me any pain medicine. To top things off they never sent the referral to the orthopedic doctors office. At least, according to JOI. There are other doctors in the system that I might try, but I was pretty disappointed with my appointment overall.

We really appreciate the staff at Baptist Primary Care - Mandarin South. They are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Dr. Rak is always through, listens to my concerns, checks on what we have done in the past so that she knows where we are going in the future. My husband and I are very happy and satisfied to have our health care in their capable hands!

The timely manner I am seen. I was in an out in 30 mins. I sat on the waiting room for about 2 mins, I didn???t even finish my intake forms. My vitals were taken, my doctor saw me, I had X-rays done, my doctor saw me again immediately, and I had a medical plan. I feel like my time is valuable.

I didn???t care for Dr Raq???s bedside manner. She refused to listen to me, made assumptions which is NEVER a good idea, and came across as obstinate and uncaring. I have only seen her one other time and will not go back to her. I will be seeking out another primary care in the Baptist system since I know there are many good doctors employed in that system. It???s a shame Baptist Mandarin doesn???t do something to address Dr Raq???s behavior- it???s a huge miss on the part of management.

Physicians should wait to complain about patients when they???re out of range. Dr Rak took me over to the area to get blood work when she was venting her frustrations to a girl at the desk to the left when you first walk in. I frustrated her enough that she even slammed her hand on the counter exhaled loudly with ???ugh???. Why did she have this reaction? It was because I asked for Ozempic because I???ve had trouble losing weight in the past and have been completely discouraged. She informed me that she would not prescribe it until after I made a lifestyle change for six months. She stated that I was not the first nor would I be the last to come in her office asking for it. She continued to talk about it being on back order and questioned what I would do after I stop it and gain the weight back. She is not sympathetic to anyone who has trouble losing weight. She is a marathon runner who???s never struggled with her weight and she eats healthy and no processed foods. Nor did pregnancy alter her body forever. I understand that she has a right to deny my request but then the denial continued. I stated that I???ve had migraines and have always taken Norco with it. Again, I felt like I got a lecture how she wasn???t going to prescribe it. A friends mother who owned an after hours care started me on the regime years ago. I don???t think 24 pills a year constitutes an addiction but again, shut down. I had another health question but after my experience I told her I didn???t want to discuss any of my health matters with her. She is not an understanding physician. I work in healthcare. She???s knowledgeable which I took into consideration when rating her. Her staff is pleasant and engaging. The issue is with her and her alone. I do not plan to return.

Desk staff, Dr. Rak, Jenee (who took my blood), and the nurse who did my vitals were all very nice. That goes a long way for me. Being honest though, I did not like seeing so many staff wearing masks and I don't agree with your team recommending COVID vaccines for healthy young adults after everything we've been through the last few years. We've come very far in this situation and I feel like some of your processes fit the "corporate" medical paradigm that many people have grown to dislike strongly.

Improvement was made with new staff in front desk. Just need to remind some that they are a little complacent and forget that if you are customer that comes in and there is no one Else, they should not be waiting because you and your co-worker are talking!!! We need more smiling faces. We are are ready sad having to go to Doctor for one reason or another. Please CHANGE the Pink Colors in that office Been that way since the 80's. Fresh Blues and pretty colors. Office looks old and Not well taken care of. We will not talk about the bathrooms. HORRIBLE. GROSS

Except for Miriam, the lady that schedule the appointments services were not as expected at all. Patient treated as a number, rude staffing and not friendly doctor. Doctor was in a rush and seems to be going through same questions to everyone being a robot. There is no individual care and time to answer questions. I also brought some exams and they took them to take a copy and They returned incomplete to me. After the appointment, I was supposed to get in the mail exams requests and referrals, never got them and found out that they had put a wrong address in the system even though I filled out a lot of paperwork and the office requires the driver???s license that also has my address on it. For sure considering seeking another practice.

Sometimes it feels like the doctor is over booked and things get missed because there isn't enough time spent with the patient. Some of us just can't remember everything that needs to be addressed by the doctor not an assistant. I'm aware that it is the patients responsibility to cover everything but I'm just not as quick as I used to be back in the day. I don't know if more could be accomplished at the time the appointment is made.

Dr. Rak was very dismissive of my concerns when seeing her. She only briefly addressed one concern I mentioned to her. She also seemed to try to push vaccines on me when I told her I was not interested in them. Additionally, Dr. Rak did not have anyone else come into the room when she did my pap smear and did not provide anything to clean myself with afterward. I was very uncomfortable with this doctor and will not be going back to see her.

I recently had my physically with Dr. Rak since moving back to JAX, FL 6 months ago. We had a brief tele-appt back in August for some sinus issues I was having. Our in person visit was not as pleasant, I was questioned about mammograms, paps, breast exams which I explained that I see Gyno for that and have since my 20's. She did a basic check of my body (never looked in my mouth, I thought that was weird). Tried to give me blood pressure meds but when I got 2nd opinion I was told that's not even an elevated #. I was questioned why I don't have ins. & the overall bedside manner was not very friendly/caring. I was just another patient to check off the list for the day. Initially, I tried to switch drs. but the appt. desk told me that is frowned upon. This is MY body and it should be MY choice as to which doctor I see. And if it's someone in the same practice, it should not be a competition, there is enough business for everyone and that should be a supported practice by all the staff. I've been coming to this location since the 90's and my youngest still goes to Dr. Hartley who is FANTASTIC. All the nurses have been great, Marilyn and all the check in staff are awesome as usual and the appt desk always goes above and beyond for me. Right now I'm looking into other GP options in my area as this was the worst $150 I've ever spent.

I have been a very satisfied patient of the Mandarin office since the 90's! I am very pleased with the doctors and the staff. Everyone is friendly, professional and caring. And the response to my phone messages is very timely. I have recommended this location to several friends and my mother is now also a patient of Dr Rak since her relocation to Jacksonville.

Some of the people are extremely helpful and others are not. When trying to reschedule Sue was amazing she did what she said she???d do and got me an earlier appointment. She gave 125% to help me. The other girl I talked to couldn???t be bothered. I am not impressed with the doctor not discussing changes to medicine with me. She just changed them and she doesn???t know me. It???s a first time visit.

I scheduled for bloodwork. I fasted and got a babysitter so I could go to my appt. When I got there at 915am there was already a 1 hour wait due to overscheduling. I wasn't able to wait so I will have to get bloodwork done somewhere else. This is a constant issue with that place.

Appointment with dr Rak on Thursday, June 10 after surgery to repair pseudo aneurysm. Dr read part of report while we were there and asked if we had questions. She wanted me to make follow appointment for bloodwork. Monday. June 14 someone named Samantha called to inform us a referral was ordered for Borland Grover consultation due to cysts discovered on a CT scan performed on May 19. Was told Cysts could turn into pancreatic cancer if not monitored. Inquired on who ordered CT scan but Samantha said she did not have access to hospital records and didn???t know. Asked to have Dr Rak call me and was told it was very unlikely she would be able to call. There???s more but not enough room for all the details. Still haven???t heard from Dr Rak either.

Everyone that works there has always been super kind and helpful - Dr. Rak, the nurses, receptionists, everyone. Have never had to sit and wait for long periods when I have an appointment, if anything I'm almost always called back early. Nice clean and quiet facility. :-)

Refused to allow me to make an appointment to see my doctor because I had a balance. I had to get the office manager involved just to see my primary doctor. I was hung up on by the billing person. Completely unprofessional and I would never send someone to this office after this treatment even though I have been a patient here since 2011.

Base on previous experience, The office's are clean. People are kind and helpful. Instructions are clear. However, When I had to take my daughter to ER, the doctor I received was not on my insurance plan, therefore His bill was high. I would suggest that if you are able to check insurance be fore doctor sees patient, that you align the doctor to patient according to patient insurance plan, or that the doctor has to bill accordingly to patients insurance plan. Other than this I would absolutely recommend this facility.

I am particularly indebted to Kathy, Dr. Rak's asst., for her patience and time in helping me reach the personnel I needed after a very frustrating experience with the phone personnel who work off-site, so are really unable to answer any questions one has about a particular office other than provision of a telephone # in some cases. After spending more than 4 hours trying to set up 2 appointments, mostly holding on a phone line, awaiting information, Kathy "hung with me" to help me verify that I had gotten what I needed to be sure I had gotten the offices I needed. Her demeanor was so kind and helpful. I look forward to thanking her in person during my next visit.

I have been waiting since Tuesday after the teledoctor appt with Dr. Rak and she prescribed me cough meds but nothing for the shortness of breath, sore throat, ear aches and back ache. Since the appointment I have been using the last of the Albuterol I have to help open the tightness in my chest but I’m still only taking over the counter meds but nothing seems to be shaking this. Wednesday I went in for the requested COVID test at 9am but nothing yet and it’s Thursday 6pm. I was told that antibodics would be given once the test comes back. So now I am just stuck 2 more days being miserable and haven’t heard anything as of yet. I’ve left 3 messages and no return calls.
