IS Communications Coordinator, Ambulatory Network Innovation, Baptist Health

The IS Communications Coordinator will support internal communications, engage stakeholders, and drive change management initiatives for the Information Services (IS) team. This role requires a human-centered approach, proficiency in graphic design (i.e. Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.), and experience with multi-channel communications strategy and development (i.e. mass email distribution, newsletter creation, intranet development, etc.). Additionally, experience in SharePoint or other intranet development is essential. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with an aptitude to learn new technology platforms as required. Familiarity with HTML is preferred. This role requires a collaborative team player with strong analytical and communication skills.

IS Communications Coordinator Responsibilities

  • Plan, write, and deliver engaging multi-channel communications in support of IS initiatives, leveraging tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, email distribution platforms, and basic HTML to develop visually appealing content.
  • Develop, manage, and enhance the IS team’s SharePoint intranet site, ensuring intuitive navigation, relevant content, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Apply change management best practices to support the successful implementation of IS initiatives, focusing on stakeholder engagement and readiness planning.
  • Directed by policies, organized and structured in processes and supporting procedures that are performed by an organization to design, plan, deliver, operate and control information technology services offered to the business / customers.
  • Functional areas cover Incident, Problem, Service, and Change Management. Requires working knowledge and experience in own job discipline.
  • Works to broaden own capabilities by continuing to build knowledge of the organization, processes and customers. Performs a range of assignments using guidelines or policies.
  • Analyzes and solves straightforward problems as they occur but typically requires guidance on complex or unusual problems.
  • Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction from more experienced team members.

Experience

  • Experience developing and executing multi-channel communications strongly preferred
  • Experience designing visual communications using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools strongly preferred
  • Experience managing or maintaining intranet platforms such as SharePoint strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new platforms and technologies, strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with change management principles and their application in organizational initiatives preferred
  • A basic understanding of HTML and its application in digital communications preferred
