The Comfort Care Program provides alternative methods of healing to combine a “natural balance” of health care and work environment to the hospital’s patients, visitors and staff. The team provides therapies such as music, certified pet therapy, comfort quilting and story-telling.

Local newspaper stands are available outside of the emergency entrance. Limited supplies of newspapers are delivered to patient areas.

Each room has a television with access to cable stations and a printed TV guide. Free WiFi is available throughout the Beaches campus. If you need WiFi support, please call the phone number above.

There is a Wells Fargo ATM machine next to the gift shop on the 1st floor.
When it’s time for a patient to go home, a Social Worker or Case Manager is available to help answer questions, make follow-up care arrangements, and alleviate any fear or stress dealing with an illness. Services include
- Discharge planning
- Home health service arrangements
- Counseling
- Obtaining medical equipment
- Community services
- Transportation
- Referrals

It’s important to respect the unique spiritual and cultural orientation of each patient and family member. We want to help you and your family receive the type of spiritual and emotional support you feel is needed during your hospitalization. Our pastoral staff, board certified chaplain, students-in-training, and trained volunteers, working from a multi-faith approach, are available to meet with you and/or help you find the support you desire.
You can contact our spiritual care staff directly by calling [904.627.2470][2] or by asking your nurse. An On-Call Chaplain is available 24 hours daily for emergency Spiritual Care needs and can be reached by contacting your nurse.
The Chaplain's office is located on the second floor of the hospital. The Chapel, located on the ground floor across from the Surgical Department, is available 24 hours a day for people of all faiths and backgrounds.

This interdisciplinary committee offers guidance to families, providers and treatment teams who are trying to reach an agreement about the best way to care for a patient, helping to provide clarity in cases where difficult ethical issues arise. Consult the Medical Ethics committee when:
The patient’s treatment goals are unclear.
There is uncertainty surrounding the decision-making roles of the
patient, family, providers and the treatment team.
The patient, family, providers or the treatment team needs help
resolving a conflict.
