Environmental Equipment Technician, Various Shifts, Baptist Jacksonville

Job Summary

Baptist Health is looking for a Environmental Equipment Technician to join our Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville, Environmental Services team. This position is a full-time position, with various required, ranging from 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM and 8:00 PM - 3:30 AM and with rotating weekends and holidays. The Environmental Equipment Technician is responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.

Environmental Equipment Technician General Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the daily operation of the Xenex disinfection device in patient and non-patient areas and ensuring a safe and clean environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Disinfection of rooms after patients have been discharged.

Baptist Health is proud to utilize state of the art UV Disinfection Technology via UV Robotic Machines. These machines break down the DNA of germs in the hospital environment before manual cleaning of an area is performed, keeping our team members and patients better protected.
