Left a message on the Primary Care #4 last Monday, tried again later and phone was not picked up. Ultimately went directly to the office on South 14th on Wednesday and got an appointment. The care and attention then was very good. Baptist needs to fix the phone response, otherwise it means a trip to the office each time?

You need to have someone review appt. I made an appt online with my primary well over a month before appt. One hr. before appt, I was told that my appt. wasn't long enough and she cancelled. After being lied to by someone claiming to be the office manager I was forced to reschedule with the PA who I really didn't want to see. Plus now I find out that my primary Dr. Twiggs is leaving and therefore I'm now forced to look for another primary doctor after many years. I am extremely disappointed that a few months ago my rheumatologist Dr. Kim left who was beyond wonderful and was not replaced and now my primary, I feel Baptist isn't doing what's important to the patients only their pockets!! I will never recommend Baptist again.

I was amazed at the uncaring attitude of the staff. They were not interested in my health concerns. I have some serious health concerns and was experiencing some worrying chest pains. Their first concern was for payment for anything that was not part of my scheduled appointment. At no time was anyone caring or reassuring. .

I want to explore getting a primary care doctor with Baptist and I called to make an appointment with Dr. Twiggs. I was told I cannot get an appointment with her unless I come in first for a 'meet and greet' and get set up as a patient. Only after I do that can I get an appointment with her. So I did and first it cost me $130 to do this meet and greet. They had me fill in a ton of paper work by hand then the nurse practitioner asked me the same questions and put some of the answers inot the computer. After this I am now a patient and they allowed me to schedule time with Dr. Twiggs. When I come to see her next month it will cost me another $130. This feels just wrong that I need to pay now $260 just to meet a doctor and decide if I want her as my primary care physician. Also I am thinking about establishing Baptist because of the hospital on Amelia Island. But I was told that these primary care doctors will not see patients in the hospital and not really connected. System feels old and antiquated. Not sure if I want to invest more time and effort.

Me and my husband recently was transferred to another specialist there in this office without anyone discussing it with us!! We love Jennifer! And then my husband very sick and they said they could not see him in the office and we would have to go to ER, which no one wants to do at this time due to Covid!!! We felt we weren???t treated fairly since we have been established patients there for long time!!.
