Babtist sleep center holds the dubious distinction of hiring the most unfriendly, cold, almost illiterate staff of clerks, assistants, and sleep techs. The physician I've worked with (once) is fine, but the support staff which is largely populated by black females act like prison guards. There are a couple of exceptions: the staff at the Bonneval Road location for sleep supplies is excellent; in the same location, your billing clerk, Debbie, is excellent. But I'm telling anyone who reads this that EVERY black female has been antisocial, unfriendly, never smiles, barks out your name like a clumsy authoritarian prison guard when calling a patient from the waiting area to an exam room, rarely make eye contact, etc. Yes, I'm basing my critique in racial terms not because of race, but rather because all the people who do not represent Baptist Sleep Center in a civil and professional manner just happen to be black females. I don't see how anyone feels welcomed and cared for in such a cold, uncaring, environment, an environment which is created by your staff either as individuals or collectively. In 2022, I wrote a letter to your staff location manager--a black female--who was no longer there on my next visit. I wanted to personally thank her for considering a letter I gave her of my observations of absolutely horrible behavior of a specific employee. It's no wonder why such a culture of unprofessionalism exists in the Booneval location. So please consider that you have a culturally disconnected group of support staff and I suggest you seek out persons who WANT to work and be nice to patients. I was dialed in for over 15 minutes with no acknowledgment that any one would be on with me. I tried to call the office and every extension rolled over to voice mail. To alleviate the problem is to have an extension that only handles video conference problems with it always being manned.

The checkout process was poor, the lady was on a call by herself. She told me it would be a few minutes so I waited. She finished the call which she said took 20 minutes then proceeded to call another lady over to talk about the call. Still didn???t help me or check me out. Finally I just asked if I could call and book my follow up. She said yes and I left. No apologies or let me get you taken care of, just turned back and kept talking. Been a patient for years but never had an experience like this. I still need to book my appointment.

The appointment was to satisfy a requirement to get two prescriptions renewed. One prescription, pramipexole, was cancelled and in the after-visit summary I was told to stop taking it. We never discussed stopping the pramipexole. I made two calls to the office to try to straighten out the prescriptions and I think my pharmacist made a call also. The pharmacist told me the insurance company would not pay for the modafinil because the insurance company needed additional information. Without insurance it cost $100. It eventually did get straightened out; however, my office visit was on December 8 and I picked up the two prescriptions on December 13. I had already gone without the meds for more than a month. I was not aware that I needed an office visit to get the prescriptions renewed.

Was difficult to get annual virtual appointment. Follow up with prescription, CPAP supplies is non-existent. i was told someone would be reaching out to me and it didn't happen. I called in for supplies to the DME located next door to office and they hadnt been given the prescription for supplies. When i followed up with Dr Nasser office, i got put on hold for 20 minutes. I told everyone involved ive been with out supplies for over 2 months and not using device and not getting the healthcare i was recommended

I was happy with my visit with the NP, Kim. I have felt my last visit with Dr. Nassar in June was not productive in that I didn't feel like he listened to my concerns, didn't offer a follow up visit and seemed rushed - it was an annual visit.

Improve communication for your patients. It is mission impossible to get anyone on the phone! Video calls have ???glitches???, is it tech issues? We were notified that our call was to start 30 mins prior to our actual appt. When we connect we were told it was too soon! Then we were notified again..same issue. We were connected and waiting for the provider to join at our designated time only to be info that they were running late. Ok, so how late? When we tried to call to find out no answer. Finally got someone from the hospital to send a msg. Only to be told to keep the connection live. At almost 45 mins after our appt we finally got someone on the call. This is unacceptable and inappropriate to keep your patients waiting that long. Our time is valuable as well not to mention the drain on our phone battery. The actual provider was fine and apologized. We don???t hold her responsible. I think a score for her would be a 10 and the video call would get a 2 if that

My nurse practitioner was very unprepared to take a case like mine even though the message should have been conveyed about what I was going through when I made my appointment. She tried to help and got the doctor to see me in between her appointments, which I appreciate very much. But she failed to mention to the doctor that I said that I wasn???t able to sleep for 48 hours which is how I got prescribed Xanax, the nurse practitioner says I didn???t tell her that but I know I did. I will absolutely be following the advice I was given, although I???m worried about how the most crucial point wasn???t addressed / reassured to me. I appreciate how the NP tried to resolve the situation, and how the doctor made time for me. I just wish I was able to get reassured and my concern address. I would just appreciate a call from the MD so I can get my questions in and addressed. Thank you.

I felt that the nurse that I spoke to was rushed. She spoke very quickly with very little eye contact. I tried to talk about sleep difficulties I am having and she brushed off as hormonal and said there was nothing she could do because it didn???t relate to my cpap. Very discouraging and deeply disappointing. I will be requesting a different nurse.
