About Me

It is never too late for a patient to begin the journey to better health. I am a proud volunteer with the Baptist Health Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation program because I know that educating patients on lifestyle changes is integral to their success. Working with patients on lowing cholesterol, managing their blood pressure and understanding their medications is important for every patient to minimize their risk for future cardiac events.

I also serve as the co-chair for the Ponte Vedra Cardiology Symposium. This event is designed for clinical cardiologists, interventional cardiologists, internists, family physicians, and other providers who look to further patient care through the use of the latest scientific information available. This event helps ensure that First Coast providers stay on the forefront of cardiovascular medicine and that the residents of the First Coast receive the best cardiac care possible.

I have been married to my high school sweetheart for more than 25 years and we have three grown children. Outside of medicine, I enjoy traveling and skiing. I am a volunteer coach for the 18U team for the Jacksonville Storm Softball Association, a girl’s youth fast pitch league. I was a founding member several years ago and we now have nine teams for girls ranging from 8-18 years old. We have placed countless players in Division I, II, and III colleges. I also enjoy Michigan Football.
