Foremost...E-A-S-E of Pt. Registration,instruction and Check-in. The stress of having to see a Heart Specialist is frightening enough. I was anxious somewhat but more than ready to find answers to the issues I was having, I AM Not a ( put a bandaid on it) give me a prescription kinda person. I felt completely at ease. Was so impressed that Dr. LeBert listened/documented and looked at past Labs, Ultra Sounds and Xrays as we spoke..although I feel like I rambled ( afraid I would extend my Consult time I guess) but left feeling as if he had information to start with to formulate a plan of attack! Can't say enough great things about my first visit. Fingers Crossed for a great outcome!

Everyone was very pleasant. This office is run very smoothly. Dr. LeBert is very attentive & listened to my health concerns. He was able to relieve my concerns about my heart issues. I left the office with a visit summary, & follow up appointment in hand, which was very helpful. My new prescriptions were called in & my heart test was scheduled the very next day. I was very pleased with efficiency of this office and would highly recommend this office.

Dr. Le- Bert was one of the best specialists I???ve ever seen. Very friendly and easy to speak with. He listened. He looked up all my history through Baptist. He didn???t just look at me like a weak, lazy person and say you need gastric sleeve which is what many doctors do. He actually is the first doctor I???ve ever seen who was willing to prescribe something to try and help facilitate some weight loss. Whether it works or doesn???t, at least he was willing.

Your medical services are organized and thorough. There are minimum wait times between each phase while ,at the same time, gathering all necessary information and processing it. Everyone is kind and polite, and enjoys a sense of humor. Patient is left with the feeling they got what they came for, a complete heart evaluation, and are readily willing to return next time. It is certainly worth climbing a flight of stairs for ,as they've kept my heart in condition to do so ! ( They have an elevator, too, for those requiring it )

Dr. LeBert is a awesome doctor. He put me on Ranexa for my Erythromelalgia. The pain from this rare burning man disease has to do to the sodium channel are defective for lack of a better world. Him putting me on Ranexa is genius. He explained how Ranexa works with the sodium channels. It still brings me to tears but has given more relief then other meds. I lost several family members to blood clots including my brother at 52. He checked my blood for the clotting gene which I have. He is very professional, listens, answers your questions and explains in layman terms. His front desk are always pleasant and good to work with. His nurses are great. Saw Tina last and she is a jewel. I highly recommend Dr. LeBert.

What do I like about Baptist Heart ? Short wait time Respectful to my mask-wearing---Both professionals with whom I worked offered to wear a mask because I was wearing one. Respectful of my concerns---I felt a little bit like a hypochondriac with my mild symptoms; however, my primary care doctor sent me to your practice, and I appreciated the steps that Dr. Le-Bert is taking to check up on my concerns. Everyone was very courteous and professional. Dr. Le Bert changed my medications to address my medical problems. As I was checking out I noticed on my prescription for my pain medicine the dosage was incorrect and the young lady that was helping me took my list and took it to the nurse and the nurse corrected the dosage immediately. Hospital needs to have portable O2 tanks available for patients, who need them. Train staff to assist with O2 tanks. Tanks should be avail at outside doors and on each floor of the hospital or at least with quick accessibility to each floor. More wheelchairs are needed with personnel to assist the disabled.

The waiting. I waited forever in the waiting room only to find out they never told the assistant I was there. She came looking for me after 30 minutes. Then they couldn???t get the ekg to work 4 times until someone from the main building came to tell them what was happening. Then they forgot to tell the Dr I was in there. I had to come out and ask if I was going to be seen. My 20 minute appointment ended up being 2 hours. Actually I should have rated it lower . I would not tell anyone to go there, but there???s not a lot of options on this island.

Test results from February and March were not able to be discussed until August due to several appointments being canceled by the office. And the results were not favorable and required additional tests. This delay is VERY concerning. However, in speaking with other patients, it appears that this type of thing happens regularly at the fernandina office. The office appears to be very poorly managed.
