Dr. Polifka is laid-back, calm and attentive. I did send him my MRI CD, but the results (his assessment) were never updated in the My Baptist chart. He did so for my X-ray, but not for my MRI. Other than that, everyone was pleasant and professional.

It was an absolute pleasure speaking to a doctor that actually listened. He didn't speak at "warp speed". Made me feel like I was the only patient he was seeing and explained everything that made me trust him. I'm not scared to have my back surgery. I'm excited and looking forward to returning to normal again. I Will continue to speak very highly of him and my mother is already in contact with their office. This is the experience everyone deserves and wants from every doctor they see.

Because I didn???t know my way around the complex, I turned up at radiology an hour early. I was seen almost immediately. I then went to my Lyerly appointment also almost an hour early. By the time I made my way back to my vehicle it was actually the time for my appointment!!! That is definitely a first for me.

Excellent Results of surgery. Baptist Hospital has some real problems. I would rate it a 3/10. It requires a 20 minute info gathering each time a Medicare patient makes an appointment.. I did this on Feb 14, 2024 before X-rays. They very next day, today, I had to repeat the same thing, and it took almost a half hour to make an appointment for MRI and CT scan which my Lyerly doctor ordered. No wonder medical costs are too high! Limit the information to insurance coverage and policy number; name; last 4 of social security. You do not need information about date of retirement; sexual preference; etc. for every appointment!

My doctor Adam sent a message that he wanted to see me and go over my MRI. I meet with him he showed me the MRI and it was obvious where the problem was with my back. Not knowing how to read a MRI i could see the problem. What amazed me was the doctor that saw me at Clay er saw a problem with the cat scan and life flighted me down town. I was told by a doctor at 4 in the morning there was no problem with my back and I could go home. Think God dr Adam reviewed the MRI and contacted me to look at it. What I can???t understand why the radiologist couldn???t see the problem. Edward had MRI???s done around November and they radiologist said no problem all the while my back hurts all the time.

Friendly staff and Dr. Palatka are friendly and professional. My Dr. didn't just read images and go into medical jargon. He talked to me face to face with much appreciated eye contact. He explained the next steps in clear and understandable language. He ensured that I was clear on these steps. I have some serious back issue and I was afraid of what I might learn. Dr Palatka assured me about my steps forward and the benefits to come. I recommend The Lyerly Group.

I was treated quite well both professionally and personally. My husband had surgery with the group last year and we were both quite pleased. Thankfully I don't require surgery right now but if I should in the future this is definitely where I would go.

The physician was very thorough and professional. From his report, he had read my medical records before the visit, and even compared my current MRI to a prior one on record I had years ago and forgotten about. He gave clear instructions on how to move forward.

The front staff checked me in quickly and even confirmed my PCP to make sure the notes would be forwarded appropriately, the doctor's MA called me promptly and was knowledgeable of my history as well as completing my vitals timely, and lastly the MD made me feel at ease and took his time to explain my results and left me feeling beyond confident. I also want to mention that I was contacted numerous times by staff to make sure that my test were being scheduled properly and ask how my health was in general. Overall WONDERFUL experience!

I'm a former patient of Dr. Monteiro and have had nothing but wonderful things to say about him and the staff. I saw Dr. Polifka as a new patient one week ago, January 17th. I appreciated his honest opinion that I have exhausted all conservative treatment over the course of the last 3 years and only thing left to consider is a SI fusion. He proceeded to tell me that neither he, nor any of his colleagues perform this procedure but he would get with his colleagues to find out if they are aware of any surgeon in the area who does. Due to the chronic pain I've been dealing with over the last few years I would be interested in at least a consultation. He told me he would call me. I never heard from the office so I called yesterday at lunch and left a message on his medical assistant's voice mail. As of this evening I have heard from no one. This is poor patient service particularly when you are dealing with someone who is in extreme pain and has not yet given up hope in finding answers.

Consult was good & he promised to call after he received my updated MRI & x-ray imaging. After my consult i drove back to the hospital to obtain a another CD of the imaging then drove back to lyerly, found parking & personally delivered it. I went to a lot of effort with out response. I really want his input on my thoracic as other people say I am in really bad shape.

My husband and I felt like we weren???t being taken seriously. I have been going thru neck and shoulder pain on and off again for the last 4 years. At times the neck and left shoulder pain are debilitating. My husband felt like the doctors were belittling and smug. We came because we were directed to. We will not work with the Lyerly doctors again. The doctors, we saw, need to learn compassion.
