I had my first appointment with Dr Wallace on December 18th. He was very polite and cordial. I was impressed with his proposed health care plan for me and he took his time to explain same. He was concise and patient with my concerns. After the call and the video (that I watched twice!!) I feel confident to set up an appointment with Dr. Wallace to have the procedure completed.

I'm a new patient. I was set up to see the Neurosurgeon for my first visit which was a phone visit. He called and spoke with me for probably at least 20 minutes. He answered my questions. He treated me with respect rather than talking down to me. He put me in touch with his MA who called me back in a very reasonable length of time and was very helpful. She set me up with surgery but I asked her if I was going to meet the surgeon in person first. She said some don't care one way or the other. She asked if I'd like to meet him. I said I would but I guess it didn't really matter. She set me up with an appointment to meet him first followed by my surgery date and follow up date. She also was very knowledgeable in answering questions I had, rather than having to refer me back to the surgeon. Her name is Candice. Very pleasant experience.

I was told to expect a phone call from the surgeon for a consult between 7 AM and 7 PM. It is really not reasonable for someone to be available on a moment's notice for a 12 hour stretch. People work, they have meetings, classes, etc. What would have happened if the call came while I was in the shower? You need to give people a shorter time frame within which to receive the phone call. Maybe a 4 hour window. The conversation I had with the doctor was perfectly acceptable and quite helpful. The only issue I have is with the unreasonable time frame for the call.

I went on line and checked in as requested. I was told that my appointment was at 9:15am on 11/27/23. The doctor called me at 9:01am. I did not realized he called. I called at 9:15 am when my appointment was scheduled. I was told the doctor would call me from 7am to 7pm that day. Not realizing he already called. The person I spoke with did not know that as well. The doctor on the message said to call back he he would be able to speak with me that day. I did call at 9:15 am. Not sure where the disconnect is. I called back today and was told the doctor was in surgery today and would not be be able to call me.

The teledoc consult was painless- literally. From the comfort of my own home I spoke with my doctor who explained everything to me clearly and in a way I could understand. He showed care and concern for all my questions and followed up with videos that showed me the different options I had explaining the risks and expected results from each.

It would be hard to recommend based on the fact that it takes 5 weeks to get an appointment. After the decision is made for surgery, it is another 10 weeks till surgery. There is no offer of any relief from the pain. At this time, I am locked in, and I am crippled with the pain. I have been to the ER twice and received shots and pain pills to help.

I had a new patient appointment scheduled for November 20th at 1:30. Someone called and left a message saying they were going to try and get me in at 12:30 instead but I work for a surgeon as well and I was unavailable at the time. I called to make sure that I hadn't missed my opportunity since my appointment was scheduled at 1:30. I was told that no, that I was in que and that Dr. Wallace would be calling me but he was running a little behind. I called at 4:05 because I had not received a call yet but I had to leave a message, that was Monday, November 20th, I did not get a call from the doctor or from his medical secretary, Candace. I called Tuesday morning a little after 8:00, left a message for Candace to please call me back and I explained that I had not received a call from the doctor. I left another message for Candace at 12:22. I called at 4:00 and spoke with a very nice lady who said she would send Candace a message to get me rescheduled soon. I have yet to receive a call. I have waited for this appointment, I am in severe pain and I was hoping to get news that Dr. Wallace would be able to help me. I am very disappointed.

Lyerly is a premier neurosurgery practice based in Jacksonville FL area; they are known to be THE best in their field here. I'm very pleased to learn how Lyerly stays current in latest neurosurgery technology & protocols, and that they have their own on-site outpatient center. I am looking ahead to acdf surgery with Dr. Wallace, who I knew in advance was highly regarded for his neurosurgery skill & expertise. The doctors are excellent. I was referred to Dr. Garcia by several doctors and acquaintances, but he was very busy and now has retired. At the beginning of Covid (2020) I set up a phone appointment with Dr. B. Wallace, who read the disk from my MRIs and called me. He was very kind and caring, patient, but also to the point and didn???t waste one minute regarding his findings as well as answering my questions. His recommendation was clear, as was his general counsel that the decision for surgery (and the timing) was ???up to me???. So, I had not met him and had to move forward with surgery. He was excellent, attentive, and surrounded by an excellent support team. It???s Fall of 2023 and I have another issue (large herniated disc). Dr. Wallace did the consultation over the phone, which is very convenient. I need surgery again and we???re still working to set a date, but I am eager to have his assistance via surgery. Dr. Wallace is very good at what he does, as is his assistant, Candace.

What I liked was he took his time to explain everything. What I didn't like his secretary or whatever she is told me he would call between surgeries. Which would be between 7 am to 7 pm. I waited all day for a call that came at about 5 p.m. My suggestion is to do the surgeries and set a time at the end of the day to call. I was offered a scheduled time but it was I think 10 days out. My back was bothering me so much that I wanted an opinion as soon as I could get one.

Dr Wallace gave me an indepth analysis of my MRI and how to best move forward with my issue. I felt he was extremely knowledgeable and experienced in my issue with spinal stenosis. I???ve paid in full and haven???t even had an appointment yet. The fact you receive an apt. Time of 8:45 am for a telecall and are forced to hopefully receive a single phone call at some point during that 8 hour period is absurd. Your staff has lied each time I???ve contacted them and constantly blind transfers me to a generic voicemail. Can you at least provide a couple hour window!? The fact a second attempt isn???t made and the 800 number is left in the voicemail only adds insult to injury. Both times I???ve called back within 30 seconds of the physicians call. Is healthcare still this much of a sellers market? Now I see why everyone is switching to Mayo. Myself plus family have supported Baptist health for decades so it pains me to see you continue to deteriorate. I drove there in person this week in between appointments just to re-provide the imaging that Baptist primary was to provide with the referral. Doubt, anyone will read this or actually care, but I want to convey how desperate I am for you to take my money and provide some relief.

Dr. Wallace-fantastic!! He explained everything in great detail. I was able to understand all the information. He gave a great analogy to the future surgery and the results. He referred me to one of his videos describing the procedure, so I know exactly what will be done. This visit was a phone visit, but I felt I was sitting next to him in the office. His staff was very informative, describing the phone visit procedure. Dr. Wallace posted the notes from the visit on the same day. His staff called back that afternoon to schedule my future visits. Everything was set and posted on the web site that day. All pre and post visits with dates and times. This was unbelievable.

Dr Wallace took the time to explain the procedures and the priority he suggested that would best protect me from possible permanent damage. The phone and voicemail system don't seem to work well, as well as the portal system. More times than not I have to call a couple of times to get someone to call me back. The follow up leaves a lot to be desired. Shouldn't be that hard. I was told by the PA not to leave a message on the portal, to call in and leave a message. Then you get the menu and voicemail that tells you to leave a message on the portal! Not good! Follow up is so important, they need to find more time or people to help with that. Sometimes I call and can't get anyone to answer the phone in normal business hours, then when I do get them, they say they didn't get that message! That's bad...especially when these are important medical needs...

Lyerly and Dr. Wallace was a highly regarded referral from JOI. Original appointment was scheduled for late summer but asked for an earlier date if there was a cancellation . Had my phone call with Dr. Wallace the first week in May and within an hour was scheduled by his Staff for pre op , surgery in late May and post op in mid June . Very efficient system and Dr. Wallace is the top of his field in neurosurgery . Phone interview was thorough , informative , and compassionate. And getting this all done within the Baptist South system with all records and tests under one Umbrella was a real plus . Very fortunate and pleased with provider and efficient system .

The entire staff is first class. While Lyerly???s office is a little bit labor-intensive to get in touch with once you???re in touch it is a first class experience. They set expectations every step of the way. I personally use Dr. Wallace and have for many years. He is an amazing surgeon with amazing results and has tended to multiple different spinal issues that I have had. It is important to note that they are conservative and do not jump to surgery ever unless it is highly warranted. Believe it or not that???s a great thing! Both he and his PA Michael Sease are the BEST, as is Kelly, Dr. Wallace???s executive secretary. I cannot imagine using any other doctor or outfit. I live at the beach, but travel downtown for their services and it is worth it every step of the way. Thank you for your amazing care.

Professional, tightly structured & at the same time being compassionate (though these qualitites were greatly separated in time). I was encouraged to hear the response to my question in the operating room: "How many people are in here & why so many?" They are all here for YOU, said the nurse, They're all on your TEAM! Where did the compassion come in? Not until 6 months later after a brain bleed, 10 falls, (one of which resulted in a broken hip & surgery.) Dr. Wallace, after reading the record of my ordeal, spoke so kindly & full of empathy as if he had been totally unaware of my situation. Is there no follow-up after brain surgery? The hospital called, rehab called, but no call from Lyerly or Dr. Wallace. Now that I have the battery installation scheduled, I have great hopes for significant improvement. I have my clogging shoes & my boxing gloves ready to return to service.

Have all the trust you can imagine in Dr. Bradley Wallace. Been in multiple surgeries for Degenerative spine and not once have I had any Adverse symptoms. I believe Dr Wallace is the best and being 59 year old dad of a 12 year old who wants to stay active he is the only one I???d trust for advice and surgical repairs. I have suggested Dr. Wallace to everyone I meet who discusses neck and back pain. I always tell them to get a referral to Lyerly Neurosurgery and ask for Dr. Wallace.

Over the past several years in my retirement life, I have experienced a number of lumbar and a couple of cervical health problems. Dr, Bradley Wallace of Lyerly Neurosurgery has been my superhero in addressing each and every one of those issues achieving excellent results and a higher quality of life for me. At this time, I am scheduled for another "outpatient" lumbar procedure and expect a similar outcome as in the past outpatient surgeries by Dr. Wallace. He is an exceptional surgeon who very carefully evaluates the patient's condition through the various diagnostic tools to insure he has pinpointed the problem prior to surgery insuring a very high degree of success. Dr. Bradley Wallace is my first and only choice for all my neurosurgical related health concerns.

I like the fact that Dr. Wallace listened and understood what I said to him and that he explained exactly what needs to be done and that he wanted to make sure we were on the same page with a plan that we made together. He was also honest with what the possibly of the future with my medical issues. He was my surgeon 12 years ago and I trust him and his judgment totally. I truly feel like he saved my life 12 years ago and I told him that when I saw him this week.

Extremely competent. Dr. Wallace, despite a difficult schedule has always reviewed the latest images . Developed a plan to ascertain any additional information or testing necessary then performing the surgery if indicated. He explains all aspects of the available options and treatment plan which is very comforting to me as a patient. All while using an effective support staff leveraging Dr. Wallace's time. Their objective seems always to be to diagnose the problem, determine what treatment is indicated and doing what is possible to provide relief. It is important to remember that the practice of medicine (especially neurosurgery) as about collecting information to analyze, developing a treatment plan and executing it, Which to me requires excellent judgement as well as surgical abilities . The only difficulty is scheduling visits and surgery which is simply supply and demand. Unfortunately, due circumstances beyond anyone's control I have had 5 surgeries on my neck and back. Hopefully, this will be the last at least for awhile.

I'm very disappointed in the service I have received. I had surgery 12 years ago and nothing but amazing things to say about dr Wallace and his team. I was unable to walk due to disc and nerve. After waiting 6 weeks to have a telephone appointment with dr Wallace (very nice and cordial on the phone). Refered me have a ct mylocardio- took almost 2 weeks to get scheduled. Had the test and it has been two weeks and no one has called me from Lyerly. I have called 3 times and left messages for Kelley - dr Wallace nurse. I spoke to someone and was told dr Wallace would mail me a letter and if an appointment was necessary it would say that in the letter. I am having a lot of problems, standing, walking a lot of pain, mri, X-ray, ct mylocadio- also I have had 2 blocks, and oblation - I have done everything I know to do and still in a lot of pain. And I know this doesn't matter to y'all but o have a graduating senior I need to be able to function. I also teach preschool again I need to be able to work. I would absolutely not refer anyone to the Lylerly group and it makes me very sad that I'm this is the best that Baptist has to offer. Sloan lewis

First, I was not told that my appointment was going to be a telephone visit. I drove 35-40 minutes to what I thought was an in person appointment at 08:00 in the morning. When I arrived, I was checked in, and then 5 minutes later called back to the desk, and told this was going to be a telephone visit. When I became upset, the front desk tried to see if I could be seen in house, but the physician was not in house as well. The person scheduling me should have told me that it was going to be a telephone visit, and ALSO the reminder text/call should have said telephone visit. Second, My appointment was on 1/10/22, and I have still not heard from Lyerly to schedule my EMG (2/24/22). This is very poor service.

Dr. Wallace was great on the phone and he referred out to a pain management specialist which I've been waiting over a week to get Dr. Wallace to sign off on it. I've called several times and they advise me it's a priority to get this to him. So far it's been over a week and no referral has been sent in. My medications also were never sent in but I was able to resolve that a within a few days. Hopefully someone in the office sees this and gets my referral processed and I can get the treatment necessary. It's been a painful experience thus far.

I was pleased to conduct an evaluation with Dr. Wallace via digital communications. Ordinarily I believe an (in person) appointment can be more effective, however in this case???where a recent MRI - tells the full story, & (I have seen Dr. Wallace on occasion since 2008) so, he could see the history of my condition. It was all that was necessary. I didn???t have to drive 3 hours round trip to Jacksonville (which would exacerbate my pain) ! - And the video overview of the procedure he recommended is well done & answers so many questions. We are all busy & unnecessary travel was a blessing for me. AND I have the ability to review the video over & over! Well done Dr. Wallace.

RECOMMEND UNEQUIVOCALLY.. Prompt, efficient, professional, courteous. I live out-of-town, and receive follow-up calls within 24 hours from Dr.Wallace, Kelly( his medical assistant) and staff--- whereas in my hometown, it takes months. I practiced as an ARNP & have not seen this level of consideration, organization and expertise in a long time. Congratulations to Lyerly Neurosurgery for incredible, patient-centered attention, from the receptionist ( male, sorry-- I don't recall his name) to the MA, & the PA ( Mike) & Dr. Wallace. And Dr. Wallace demonstrates not only a well thought-out approach, but is obviously focused on his patients. Dr Wallace gives you all the options that are available for the problem you are having & explains what work best & why. Then he lets you decide for yourself what you think is best for your health. He doesn???t try to push one surgery or another over on you.

Doctor Wallace was very well prepared for the visit. He had reviewed my recent MRI,CT myelogram and my symptoms we had discussed. He had a logical assessment of my situation and had developed several courses of action. We discussed the various scenarios and the risks and rewards of each. we agreed on a course of action. His staff followed up very quickly to schedule labs ,surgery and an appointment for an injection of a pain block to insure that the surgery would be in the correct area to provide relief.
