Gene Traylor, DO is a member of the American Medical Association, American Psychiatric Association and the Florida Psychiatric Society. Dr. Traylor enjoys treating all levels of acuity and pathology. His primary area of interest is Emergency Psychiatry. He also enjoys community outreach giving mental health awareness lectures at local schools, and speaking to patients about dealing with depression and anxiety associated with physical health issues. About Me

Originally from West Virginia, I could not be more excited about joining Baptist Health and my "Homecoming" to Jacksonville where I lived from 2003 - 2008. While living in North Carolina and South Carolina my primary hobby has remained attending as many Jacksonville Jaguars games as possible. My wife and daughter enjoy spending time outdoors together and share a love of cooking and gardening.

My philosophy of care is to above all intently listen to my patients, involve them in any decision-making, and set clear expectations. I think it is important for patients to know they are being treated without stigma or judgment to build a good rapport.
