Yi Luo, MD, is a board-certified hematologist/oncologist and internist with extensive training at the University of Florida in the diagnosis and treatment of blood disorders and a broad range of cancers, including breast, genitourinary, gastrointestinal and lung. About Me

I grew up in Jacksonville, Florida, and returned home after college in Virginia, medical school in Orlando and training in Gainesville. My family is here, and I'm grateful to be back in the community that has always felt like home. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family, exploring new cities and national parks, trying new foods and catching a good movie or book.

My philosophy of care is rooted in the belief that every patient deserves to feel truly seen, heard and understood. I became a physician because I care deeply about people, and my own family's experience with illness gave me a profound appreciation for how much trust, clear communication and genuine compassion matter when facing a serious diagnosis. I believe exceptional care is built on honesty, shared understanding and the seamless collaboration of a dedicated multidisciplinary team, all working together in service of each patient's well-being and goals.
