As the school year winds down and warmer weather creeps in, parents may be struggling to find ways to keep their kids happy and active. Tessa Cook, CCLS, a certified Child Life specialist at Wolfson Children's Hospital, said it's important for developing minds and bodies to stay engaged throughout the summer months.
"Various types of play provide children opportunities for engagement, which supports the child’s development and self-actualization," she explained. "Children communicating through play allows us to see the world through their eyes."
