Job Summary

Baptist Health is currently looking for a Chaplain for our Spiritual Care department at Baptist Jacksonville. This is a PRN Various Shifts opportunity.

This Hybrid Chaplain PRN position combines traditional chaplaincy responsibilities with virtual and remote support, catering to the spiritual and emotional needs of individuals in both in-person, telephone, and online settings. Provide Pastoral Care and Counseling, religious resources, and support groups for patients, patients' families, hospital staff, and physicians; during nighttime hours when on-site chaplaincy services may not be available. Through virtual communication channels such as phone calls, video conferencing, or messaging platforms, remote chaplains offer emotional guidance, religious counsel, and prayer to those facing medical crises or end-of-life situations. This service ensures that individuals in need receive comfort and spiritual care regardless of the time of day or their location within the hospital.
This position function as an active member of treatment teams; respond to referrals from nurses, physicians, and local clergy; assist and collaborate with pastoral care staff, residents, students, and volunteers; develop efficient follow-up support plans for patients and their families.

As a Chaplain, your requirements will be:

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 1-2 years Ministry Experience
  • 1 unit of ACPE accredited CPE
  • Ordained or Licensed Minister
