CT Technologist, CT Scan Department, Full Time, Evenings, Baptist ED North

Job Summary

Baptist Medical Center is looking to add a CT Technologist to our CT Scan department at Baptist ED North located in Jacksonville, Florida. The CT Technologist will work the Full-Time shift of Monday - Friday 12:30pm-9:00pm with rotating call and holiday This CT Technologist will be responsible for performing CT scans on patients, insuring high quality images and patient safety. The CT Technologist will work closely with Radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely diagnostic information. In addition to performing CT scans on patients this CT Technologist will prepare patients for CT scans, explain the procedure, and position patients correctly. This CT Technologist will operate CT equipment and adjust setting to obtain high quality images. 

This CT Technologist, will be responsible for the following:

• Performing high quality (CT) procedures.
• Promoting good will amongst co-workers and other departments and has a positive, comforting demeanor with all patients.
• Maintain compliance with mandatory education and health requirements.
• Identifying, preparing, administering, and documenting medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner in accordance with state, and federal regulations or Lawful institutional policy.

• FL Licensed Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) Required

Location Overview

The Baptist North Emergency Center is located at the northeast intersection of 295 and Dunn Avenue.  The center is planning to open in late fall of 2016 and will bring the high-quality care of Wolfson Children's Hospital and Baptist Health to residents of northwest Jacksonville.  This emergency center will be open 24 hours a day, has 16 treatment rooms, a separate waiting room for children, children specific medical equipment and imaging capabilities, a LifeFlight helipad and an on-site ambulance.  Pediatric emergency medical physicians affiliated with Wolfson Children's Hospital are also available during peak hours daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.  With a focus on wellness, the campus's three story Medical Office Building will feature a YMCA on the first floor with a Healthy Living Center.  The Medical Office Building has primary care an specialist physicians' offices that are open throughout the year, providing northside families with a "one-stop" destination for a wide array of care.
