Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, Ultrasound Department, PRN, Baptist ED St. Augustine

Job Summary

Baptist Medical Center is currently looking to add a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to our Ultrasound Department at Baptist ED St. Augustine, St. Augustine, FL. A Diagnostic Medical Sonographer is responsible for using imaging equipment and soundwaves to form images of the body's organs and tissue. This is a PRN, various shifts position. Participation in call and holiday rotation may be required. 

Baptist Medical Center was awarded Ultrasound Accreditation Program by the American College of Radiology. 

This Diagnostic Medical Sonographer will be responsible for the following:

• Performing high quality, diagnostic ultrasound and peripheral vascular procedures. 
• Promoting good will among co-workers and other departments and has a positive, comforting demeanor with all patients.
• Staying compliant with mandatory education and health requirements.
• Identifing, preparing, administering, and documenting medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner in accordance with state, and federal regulations or Lawful institutional policy.

Experience

• 1-2 years Experience working in a hospital setting
• 1-2 years Hospital based department specific work experience
• Ultrasound Experience
• Experience with vascular ultrasound
• Customer Service Experience

License and Certification

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Registered Technologist in Sonography ARRT (S) Required Or
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Songrapher (ARDMS) Required Or
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) Preferred Or
• Registered Technologist in Vascular Sonography ARRT (VS) Preferred Or
