Job Summary

Baptist Medical Center is looking to add a dedicated Emergency Department Technician to work in the Emergency Department at Baptist South This is a Full-time, Nights position, with the shift times being from 7 PM to 7 AM.

The Emergency Department Technician will be responsible for assisting the Registered Nurse (RN) with the care of patients who have healthcare needs including:

• Activities of Daily Living
• Maintaining a safe environment
• Collecting lab specimens
• Intake and output monitoring
• Electronic medical record documentation
• An active EMT or CNA license is required for this position

Education Required

High School Diploma/GED

Education Preferred

Associate's Degree

Experience

• Less than 1 year Hospital Experience Required
• Less than 1 year Trasnport Medicine Setting Experience Required
• Less than 1 year Patient Care Experience Required

License and Certification

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Licensed Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Required Or
• Licensed Certified Nursing Assistant Required Or
