Job Summary

Baptist Health is looking to add an experienced ImmunoHistoChem Technlogist to join our team working in the Histology Lab at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville. This is a full-time, days, opportunity. 

The ImmunoHistoChemistry Technologist specializes in Immuno Histochemistry staining techniques and will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory techniques in a clinical environment. They must possess exceptional attention to detail and a strong understanding of Immuno Histochemistry staining techniques. This technologist needs to have strong fine motor skills and excellent communication and organizational skills. This Histologist should be able to work independently, as well as collaboratively.

As a ImmunoHistoChem Technologist, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Maintaining laboratory safety standards, and ensuring that the lab is properly equipped and maintained according to regulations and policy.
• Preparing of bulk reagents, performing scheduled maintenance and collecting data. 
• Analyzing results for positive staining, updating procedures and presenting data to colleagues.
• Carrying out detailed protocols for performing the Immuno Histochemistry staining techniques, while also possessing a strong knowledge of the Roche Ventana platform.

License note: This candidate must be licensed or be able to obtain a license as a Histotechnologist in the State of Florida before hire.
