Baptist Primary Care looking for an experienced License Practical Nurse (LPN) for our Flex Team/Float Pool!  This position is PRN and must work a minimum of 12 shifts per month in 3 regions. A shift will be any day Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM.

 

The Float Pool provides coverage for all offices in Primary Care. There are a few primary benefits to working in this department. The first is schedule flexibility. This is very popular for candidates who need personal variations in their schedule or who are currently attending school to move up in Baptist. The LPN on the Primary Care Flex Team gains a wide skillset and experience in working for a variety of clinics, specialties, and fields. The Float Pool supports Primary Care, Pediatrics, Neurology, and more! Finally, Float Pool offers higher pay than other departments. The primary responsibility of this LPN position is support the providers and APP’s with patient care needs.

 

Additional LPN responsibilities may include:

  • Providing nursing assistance to physician
  • Obtaining vital signs
  • Greeting and chaperoning patients during medical visit
  • Maintaining medical documentation
  • Scheduling care, treatment, diagnostic tests per physician
  • Processing prescription requests and referrals
