Baptist Health is looking to add a Medical Assistant in our Primary Care Department at Baptist Primary Care Brooklyn in Jacksonville, Florida. This opening is a full-time opportunity.

This position is for the Baptist Primary Care Brooklyn office. The candidate will be responsible for back office tasks for a new provider. This role includes rooming patients, obtaining vitals and assisting providers.

As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for:

• Provides nursing assistance to physician
• Obtains vital signs
• Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit
• Maintains medical documentation
• Schedules care, treatment, diagnostic tests per physician
• Processes prescription requests and referrals

Education Required

High School Diploma/GED

Education Preferred

Associate's Degree

Experience

• 2 years Patient Care Experience
• Experience in Physician's office

License and Certification

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Preferred
