Mental Health Technician, PRN Nights, Baptist Jacksonville

Job Summary

Baptist Medical Center is looking to add a Mental Health Technician in our Behavioral Health Unit at Baptist Jacksonville. This is a PRN Nights opportunity 12 hour shifts 7:00pm -7:00am. 

As a Mental Health Technician, you will be responsible for: 

• Provides care to patients in a manner that considers safety, comfort, and therapeutic environment under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
• Documents observations on assigned patients, Communicates appropriate information regarding patient's condition.
• Assists with patient education groups, total milieu supervision, assists with admissions/discharges as assigned.
• *CPI Certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Education Required

High School Diploma/GED

Education Preferred

Associate's Degree

Experience

• Less than 1 year Mental Health Technician Experience
• Nursing Assistant Experience
• Corpsman Experience

License and Certification

• Crisis Prevention Certification (CPI) Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
