Patient Access Rep II, Full Time Nights, ED Admitting, Baptist Jacksonville

Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville is currently hiring for a Full Time Nights Patient Access Rep II to join our Emergency Department at our Baptist Jacksonville location here in the Jacksonville, FL area.

Shift Details: Wednesday - Saturday 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. 

The PASII in the Emergency department will be in a very high fast paced environment. The employee will be going in and out of patients rooms and finding out information that patients didn't communicate regarding their insurance and will likely involve deescalating situations as they arise. In this role you will be working closely with the other 100 employees in the department and also other clinical and non clinical departments. This candidate will need around one to two years of customer service experience, but also bring a positive attitude and strong communication skills to work every day.

As a Patient Access Rep II, you will be responsible for:

• Registering patients accurately and efficiently
• Utilizing multiple systems and interfaces Cross-Trained in order to work in multiple patient access areas
• Maintaining service excellence to patients and visitors for face-to-face and telephonic encounters
• Contributing to PAS Goals as defined annually (Collections, Palm Scanning, etc.)
• Possessing a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO
• Maintaining a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members
• Articulating compliance documentation and ensure completion of required patient consent forms
• Maintaining patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
• *BLS CPR certification within 30 days of hire for ED positions.

• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR) Required

• Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) Preferred
