Patient Access Rep II, PAS Financial Clearance, Full Time, Southbank Plaza

Baptist Health is currently hiring for a Full-Time Days Patient Access Rep II to join our Patient Access Services Financial Clearance team at Southbank Plaza here in Jacksonville, FL.

Shift Details: Monday-Friday 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

This department has 11 team members for inpatient, outpatient and 10 team members for surgical team. This is a contact center environment that is largely customer service phone interactions and high volume 3,000 services per week. This role is insurance and clearance based. The contribution is to do all the pre-registration for patients to have a smooth experience in the offices. The busy environment introduces employees to medical environment and has room for growth into referrals coordinator and team lead positions.

As a Patient Access Rep II, you will be responsible for:

• Registering patients accurately and efficiently
• Utilizing multiple systems and interfaces Cross-Trained in order to work in multiple patient access areas
• Maintaining service excellence to patients and visitors for face-to-face and telephonic encounters
• Contributing to PAS Goals as defined annually (Collections, Palm Scanning, etc.)
• Possessing a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO
• Maintaining a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members
• Articulating compliance documentation and ensure completion of required patient consent forms
• Maintaining patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines

Education Required

High School Diploma/GED

Education Preferred

Bachelor's Degree

Experience

• 1-2 years Customer Service Experience Required
• 1-2 years Insurance Experience Required
• 1-2 years Healthcare Experience Required

License and Certification

• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR) Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) Preferred
