Job Summary

Baptist MD Anderson is currently hiring for a Patient Access Rep III to join our Diagnostic Breast Center Department in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a full-time position working a Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm shift at Baptist MD Anderson - Hill Breast Center.

The Patient Access Rep III will work with the diagnostic breast center team and will be responsible for retrieving prior imaging, loading images into PACS system, and creating reading sessions for radiologist.

Patient Access Rep III, Diagnostic Breast Center Department, Job Responsibilities: 

• Registers patients accurately and efficiently.
• Utilizes of multiple systems and interfaces.
• Cross-Trains in order to work in multiple patient access areas.
• Maintains service excellence to patients and visitors for face-to-face and telephonic encounters.
• Contributes to department goals as defined annually (Collections, Palm Scanning, etc.).
• Possesses a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO.
• Maintains a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members.
• Articulates compliance documentation and ensures completion of required patient consent forms.
• Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.

Education Required

High School Diploma/GED

Education Preferred

Bachelor's Degree

Experience

• 1-2 years Customer Service Experience Required
• 1-2 years Insurance Experience Required
• 1-2 years Healthcare Experience Required

License and Certification

• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR) Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) Preferred
